How does your concept engage in the jam's themes?
Microforestry is a minimalist arcade-puzzle game about urban climate adaptation.
Use of Theme / Inspiration
Our game imagines a more idyllic future (changing our story) where urbanism and nature can coexist on a local level. Through the use of gameplay mechanics that are true-to-life like density and diversity of plants, the player will learn about microforests and how they achieve their extreme growth speed. Microforests will play a large role in mitigating heat caused by climate change, due to the increased urban shade access.

I don't know if you've already come across this project - but it might be an interesting concept for you to look to - https://store.steampowered.com/app/416210/Blockhood/
I really like the idea but I wonder about scope. Since the project seems to be a multiplayergame.
There is a good description. What is missing is perhaps why this game would be fun to play. Planting trees and see them grow is a bit too vague in my opinion.
This ideation document presents a clear and succinct explanation of the game's direction. Readers are able to easily understand the motivation and idea behind the game. The WIP section in particular helps bring the written ideas to life. Additionally, this is a unique take on the jam's theme, and highlights something that many folks may not know about, and could potentially consider working on in their own lives.
One note for the team is to ensure that the scope remains manageable throughout the jam. I like that the document lists several possible game mechanics that the team can pursue if time allows. I'm wondering if there is one or two that could be prioritized over the others. Just something to keep in mind.
Wishing you the best as we move forward!
I am interested more about micro forest and y’all’s vision of coexistence.
This is such an interesting concept! Focusing on how we can adapt to climate change the a cool way to tie in the theme of the jam with the rest. I can't wait to play it in a month's time!
