Artistic Statement / Use of Theme(s)
In general, I like games where I need to work with limited resources. In my game I tried to implement a principle where the player needs to produce resources and at the same time should avoid over production that cannot be used later by them. The player should always be prepared to transfer resources to buildings they need to protect the Dome.
I think games today pretty much ignore all game mechanics that force players to think in long term how their actions in games might affect their gameplay later.
I consider this game still a prototype of a system where weather has crucial role in how you play the game. At the same time a game where your actions might affect the weather indirectly (less rain, more clouds etc.).
Development Summary
I planned a couple more random events but I got a little stuck with graphics and UI.
In the final hours, I had to decide whether I'm going to implement sound effects or tutorial because I didn't have time to do both. The tutorial is probably more useful at the end :). However, the game is missing all sounds and music.
Release Plan
I definitely want to continue developing this game.
I already have ideas for more random events (meteors, fog, sand storms, ect.) and also make weather prediction more important in game mechanics. Day/night cycle will make a lot of sense since the player is dependent on sunlight already. Indirectly affecting the weather by burning fuel for example would be interesting mechanic as well.
Also, my original plan was to make a tower defence game and I still want to.

I really like the visual design of your game! I think the pixel art looks great and is really clean, but your icons and general UI are really strong and clearly communicate what everything does, which is important since it seems like you want your game to be very approachable despite how system-driven it is. The tile system also works really well, and the option to show and hide circuits and pipes is great for learning your game. I also found your tutorial really helpful, it did a great job of walking me through your mechanics. The only issue I had is that the extent of what you can do seems very limited, although it seems that was more of a scope/time issue and you have plans to add more systems into the game, which I look forward to.
This game was a blast to play. The art style was wonderful and nothing was out of place, the tutorial was definitely, and I can totally get behind the gameplay loop here. Obviously you didn't get done everything you had wanted to but this was a very good submission and it is very promising. I would look forward to playing this again if more content ever got added. There were no issues, just a lack of sound, and a need for more content. Awesome job :)
Very ambituous project which unfortunately is a bit hard to understand. I had difficulty connecting the buildings to the electricity and water. There was no clear explanation of what went wrong. Anyway, great job getting this far!
Great game really well polished and a solid tutorial that gives a nice indepth feeling of understanding. Only thing i wasnt to much of a fan of was the clouds due to the lack of visibility as it was semi difficult to see past them even though they were spot on for the theme.
this looks and plays great, definitely one of my favorites! the passing clouds give the game a nice mood, and it’s very interesting that clouds have opposite effects on power and water collection. it’d be awesome to have some influence on the weather through gameplay choices, changing the climate for better or worse depending on your strategy. it’d also be cool to see more mechanics like gathering resources to build stuff, researching new buildings, etc… I’m sure you have a ton of ideas already.
it took me a few tries to realize that power cables could cross water pipes — before that, I kept trying to build two separated systems for two water purifiers, which made things very tricky. other than that it was a really smooth experience. overall awesome entry with lots of polish and potential!
