Artistic Statement / Use of Theme(s)
In the world of A Fistful of Water, it has been several years since robots ravaged the land, leaving most people without hope. Your goal is to find water, but as you encounter and defeat the robots, your objective shifts from mere survival to a means to an end

Development Summary
Here is the orginal plan I put out when we started working: ok heres the basic premise of the game so I don't have to repeat it, as of now I don't have a full idea for the game (thats what the writing is for) but its meant to be a open world deserted world after global warming has destroyed the world in the future. This is also for a climate related game jam.

This is the second version we had written: basic story outline: bad evil priviliged animals/robots are using a fossil fuel-like energy to fuel their endless, needless growth throughout the world. this energy source pollutes the underground, where the marganzlied groups that cowboy turtle lives with live. cowboy turtle goes up to the surface, fights through the bad guys while also returning back to his home town underground to tell them what happens until finally he comes across the final baddie who he kills and shuts down the bad energy.

We've ditched several points about the story but the main concept we had from the start.
I did not expect to go in the direction of finding materials to create new bullets. I think we could of gone a much worser direction in the story.

Release Plan
This game is a demo HOWEVER it is still a full game. The full version is just planned to be longer and have a fuller story. This is just a shorten version of the game.

This game is great in a very rough way I don't exactly have the words for. While parts of it are very janky, that adds to the charm for me, and I appreciate how much ambition and personality it has. Really looking forward to seeing where you take this game, and enjoyed every minute I played of it.

This game is so amazing! With some polish, I would love to play it again! My one criticism is that I often don't know where I am or where I'm going - a map would help!

Developer

will definitely add that in the full release!

Wow there is a lot in this game, from different enemies to the town and lots of areas to explore. That being said I did kinda loose the plot a bit and did take a while for me to get into it. It is also very long even for a shortened version of the final game. Finally as a minor nitpick the fade to black did not cover all of the screen for me it was just a big rectangle in the middle.

Developer

oh yeah I probably forgot to make the aspect ratio correct for the fade out my bad

Really enjoyed the intro to the game, got me into it, I liked the concept but got lost pretty easily in the map and was unsure of where to go, could do with a map or something.
