I love tower defense games and this was no exception! I love it isn't enough to simply "place" your towers but that you had to manage the map by collecting jewels and repairing your towers.
I like the whole send the mechanic around to collect parts and micro manage the towers. Like RTS TD.
It took me a little bit to work out I needed to pick up the enemy drops to get more turrets, but once I did I was able to last a decent time! Lots of fun, nice one :)
Nice idea. I really enjoyed to play this. Although i completely messed up my first try because i didn't get how you'd get resources to build the turrets until i randomly walked onto the path^^. But that's just me being dumb i think. One thing i did not like was that the character felt very slow when moving around. Other than that great submission!
Woah, this was really neat. Fresh take on tower defense, fit great with the theme. The look and feel was really great and I felt it every time my base got dinged :)
I really enjoyed the 8-bit graphics, the particle effects, and the music fits well. I would've like to have either slower ramp up of less enemies and slower movement and then they get faster and there's more of them giving enough time to get used to the controls. Alternatively, having faster speed and maybe an HP bar on the turrets to know how long before they break
This was a really nice idea! The gameplay was fun, if a little confusing to figure out the controls, and I enjoyed how the game looked, especially the particle effects. I would've loved to see what happened if I got the 150 towers needed, but I think the requirements were a bit too high. Apart from that though, good work!
Thank you so much for giving it a play! :D Yeah I feel that we did well with the goal we gave ourselves, the goal of 50 kits each is attainable, as proven through testing, however it takes a few playthroughs to get a feel for how you should manage your kits (kits are the packs used to build towers and repair the laser), we'll definitely update the game after the jam to have a menu, proper control screen and bug fixes! :D Thanks again so much for the kind words :)
awe man the html version doesn't work :(
I was originally gonna do this idea.
