I really enjoy how you've not only listed out the various factions at play, but clearly put their main motivation right next to their name for quick and easy reference for the DM/GM when they need it.

I know certain players in my group would be constantly pelting me with questions like "Yes but exactly HOW is the discovery of a single coin that's not even in use anymore destabilising an entire economy that has been totally digital for a while now?" no matter how well I explain it or refer to what you've written, which is a shame because I do really enjoy the concept!

This is super clever! Even now it's often easy to forget that physical, actual money (let alone the gold that it's supposed to represent or whatever) exists. I almost never touch money, and I wouldn't be surprised if we're a few generations away from this happening! You also did an awesome job of representing multiple factions that each want the coin for their own purposes, explaining their intentions, and then allowing them to play out alongside the PCs who end up with the coin itself.

Awesome Adventure Spark. Thank you for entering three of them.

LOVE this concept! Like an 'endangered species' or legendary valuable (almost of mythical status, perhaps, if it's truly the last coin ever made).

If I were playing this game, I would have to add in museums as a strong faction contender (I could see them vying all over the world to get it), billionaire collectors, religious zealots (who all claim currency began with them), etc. Everyone wants its power!

But it would end with a simple hole in the pocket, as so many coins do... ;)

Thanks! I love the idea of collectors/museums as an additional faction. I also think the idea of losing/misplacing the coin is interesting, as that is so possible and yet wouldn't satisfy many of the forces at play--how do you produce something you don't have anymore? Also like the idea of a religious cult centered around physical money. A plausible extension of the "Gospel of Wealth" to be sure.
