Loved the poem at the start, a charming little game.
After starting "New Game," it went white. There were no errors in the console.
Is there a preferred browser that runs the game best?
Or are there any emulators you suggest for running the gb file?
You should consider adding to the description of your game the gamepad controls. I was pretty confused at first, but after trying it with a controller everything worked :).
I really enjoyed the retro Gameboy look of your game :), the visuals and aesthetics are really good. The only thing missing are the sound effects, it could really add a lot to a game like this that is focused on the feeling of discovery.

What are the controls? I see the "Press Start" screen but it's not responding to my mouse or any keyboard keys I'm trying to press.
I was able to make the game work. You need to use a controller, it doesn't seem to work with mouse and keyboard.
Press C to open a menu, then press Z for any action. I also struggled to find it :^)
