Thank you lot!! We have just watched the let’s play with my fiance and had a ton of fun. My fiance really liked your voice and she could use it to learn pronunciation :) I appreciate you playing and recording it, it is a lot of fun, thank you a lot again!

Thank you a lot! There was a more elaborate comment from you on the game jam submission page but I’m very glad that you posted here a comment too :^)

Thank you a lot, I appreciate that you found yourself that much immersed, that is very endearing to me that my game happened to be that relatable! Thank you!

We gave it another try with fiance and reached on of the endings! I think it is a very well-paced game, sometimes Philipp as a character felt too childish but also explainable in regards to the relationship dynamics with Rebecca as a more mature woman. I don’t think we completely understood the ending (where Philipp started slashing all yellow fellows), the pacing was very fast at the ending sequence. But overall a very good experience, we will play it some more to reach different endings. Thank you a lot!

I also tried playing this game on Windows but it doesn’t start at all. The error says that I’m missing a tbb.dll file.

What a great game! I loved the slow pacing of the game, the character dialogues were interesting to follow and it was captivating trying to decipher the context of the situation. Unfortunately my fiance died when she ran to the white ghost lady and it was a shame that we had to start from the very start, we didn’t manage to start again.

Thank you a lot for the game!

We didn’t finish the game, got a bug when we were in a dream in a body of the woman.

Overall a great experience, thank you for that! It was interesting to select the character’s appearance. Sound was great and it is exciting to follow the story. The theme of a human experimental lab was great. Thank you!

I tried to play the game on Linux with Wine but unfortunately couldn’t start, got just black screen, sorry!

Thank you a lot for playing! It came to by surprise that the mechanic with touching the walls is so unique, I honestly didn’t expect it! In the new version I have the background music, as you mentioned it is a sensible downside, I will upload it after the jam :) Thank you again for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

I appreciate it, thank you for playing!!

Definitely. If you play online, it is just fine to use an online roller. I can’t really play online, too tiresome for me, so I haven’t even thought about online dice rollers :)

The game is great with so many things to pick up and fight with. Visuals are great and the sound design is also awesome. The game was very scary when I played with my fiance and her friend, they screamed a lot and had a lot of anxiety :^)

One point that was not entirely clear is the purpose of going back and forth, it was not entirely clear what we are looking for. Also, on the game design note, a theme with keys and doors can be a little bit daunting to complete and probably it could use less of this.

Thank you for this amazing game, we had a very exciting experience!

A very solid game! I really liked the inclusion of philosophy, several scary spooks and everything is really well-done. Graphics is great too, a simplistic mspaint-style graphics that works here. I think maybe a font was sometimes not convenient because of scrolling, maybe a font choice could also be improved. The music is great and the ending is cool. Thank you for this breath of fresh air!

The concept is great! Visuals are wonderful! The whole idea is very well thought and feels completed. A great game for a 2-week period, I absolutely love it!

I’m not sure I got the message (a pun). To me it looks a lot more like a normal existential dread rather than something incomprehensible. I think I really missed a bit more of a mystic nature, or maybe a deeper emotion behind it.

Maybe playing with different but equally useless outcomes of a roll could be more interesting. Maybe a responsibility, a heavy burden or at least something that will be an incentive to do the rolls. Or the inability to escape to do the rolls.

Looks very interesting! The text is easy to read with important notions highlighted in red. There’s was a minute of not understand where from to draw cards for the Cultist Queue, but later it became clear that it is from the Cultist deck.

I like that the cards are mostly universal, so you can play in teams. The visuals are great! There’s enough of everything in terms of cards and sanity points.

A couple of questions:

  1. Does everyone have their own Cultist Queue?
  2. Does the number of cards in the Cultist Queue always stays at three?
  3. I’m not sure, how the cultists that are active are actually used in the game. There’s a note in “Play” section:

When you have played your cards, deduct the total sanity cost/gain for each player.

I don’t think I understand where this “total sanity cost/gain” comes from.

This game is very interesting, maybe I’ll have a chance to print it and play it.

PS Under Kit Cards there’s a leftover: “Your paragraph text”.

Hmm, interesting. Initially I thought that exactly half of sigils must be red and then, once the difficulty of riddles ramped up, I didn’t have a chance to investigate it in a clear room environment. Thanks for the key to the red sigil :)

No worries, packing into a zip archive will be enough for the majority of games, it is easy and simple.

Looks very minimal and fun! The one difficulty I would have with this game is that I don’t usually have any d8 dice. d6 is the most popular and for pen and paper games d10 is also a popular one. d8 and others likely require you to be a DnD veteran. Obviously one can use either d6 or d10 for a d8 roll with skewed probabilities, which is totally fine here.

Thank you for this little piece. I’m not sure I will be able to play with game in a circle of un-initiated people but who knows :^)

What a great game! It is unusual to see this genre in a Cosmic Horror theme for me, and this is why I think it is a very original piece. The variety of different pets is amazing, thank you a lot for the game!

Press C to open a menu, then press Z for any action. I also struggled to find it :^)

A fun little experience! Thank you!

Great experience! The only memory left is an endless cycle of going through the corridors and pulling levers. I wonder what this memory means

Thank you! The Linux build definitely works, but it appears with the same visual thing (though it feels a lot smoother)

I found out that @dungeon streamed games here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXBTUvmaCCI so I will be able to at least watch the game :^)

The gold rush scenario is interesting, I can totally imagine that. Once there are rumors of something very powerful and something alien, no one knows exactly what this is about, but corporations send more and more expeditions into the unknown to dig more about the hidden power of our system.

Thank you!

I will have to wait until I have a Windows machine, the Linux build doesn’t seem to work. Anyway, thank you for trying to compile a Linux build!

Here is an error that I get:

Thank you for the Linux build, it definitely works!

I didn’t manage to get through the first boss, this is a bit hard genre for me, but it really looks like a very interesting experience, I’m amazed that you managed to do it all in a two weeks time!

The translation mechanic is pretty interesting and the music is great too. Thank you for this game!

Is there a recording of your live stream? I couldn’t find your streaming link anywhere :(

My fiance is really excited after we have finished the game! It was a very enticing experience and very beautiful, she wanted to sleep but couldn’t stop playing. Thank you a lot for this game! Thank you a lot!

PS there’s probably a typo on a note with a ritual, it says “2 of 4” where it should be “4 of 4”.

Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you a lot for playing! I’m flattered that you said so many good things about the game. In my current version I added a few tweaks as well as added the music, this really is a missing part. But I will wait until the jam is over to publish it anew.

Thank you a lot!

Thank you a lot for playing! It is interesting that you touched on the mechanic of “touching”. I honestly added it first as a debugging tool but then I saw that it is useful and at the same time I couldn’t even imagine how to merge this idea with real graphics, like, do I change the color of the sprite upon touching?

Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the idea, I suppose that you might have some interesting ideas since you were so unexpectedly excited :^) The idea of “touching” the world instead of “seeing” is probably a little bit far away from what I have now, but I can definitely see what you mean. Thank you for this very interesting perspective!

Thank you a lot for playing, and thank you for this jam!

I got your hint ;-)

I think you are fully capable of doing all the crazy things with colors, like colored thoughts. It’s probably a good variation to touch on each of human senses but with a color, like yellow taste. Some people also associate different things with colors, numbers is an frequent example, like some people see the number 7 as green. Hope you will get something decent out of it!

I see, thank you! The division between old and new Gods seems a pretty good enrichment of the lore. Even the Gods become mortal

Congratulations on your first game! I see you have implemented a State pattern to do the transitions between hero landing/air/on ground, great! I have just read about this pattern recently, actually, and I liked the familiarity I got in your game. The music is great, chilling and relaxing. Good luck improving this game, it’s a great start!

I’m glad to hear that, thank you! I will give it another try, you got me hooked!

I see I see, I think it would be interesting to see if this game develops into something more. It is a very basic ability to recognize patterns, and this game, as it seems to me, clearly aims for this experience.
