The environment is really pretty given the timeframe of the jam. I always like fishing in games, and this one did not disappoint. Bringing the fishes to the cave could have been a bit easier, but I guess it adds to the anticipation of what will happen when you drop it down :)

Really liked it :)
The visuals are great and it's really cozy I managed to get to the ending on my second attempt because I got stuck at the junction between the dock (the wooden platform) and the first Island the first time (I don't really know how tho)

Developer(+1)

We know of that bug, was due to non-uniform scaling on some of the rocks. It will be fixed in an update we plan to upload after gamejam ends.

Glad you enjoyed it regardless!

Would you give me some details on how you did the water? Also is there a blurred outline effect around the trees? Liked the visuals a lot. Would like juicier gameplay and sounds is all I'd say. Plot was really cool and well-executed especially in the short time we had

Developer

Hello! Thank you for checking our game ^^
The water was made using this shader https://godotshaders.com/shader/another-water-shader/ - but edited to remove foam, and depth effects which are not supported on the web because of lack of depth texture. For the color and normal map it's using a seamless FastNoiseLite texture with color ramp clamping the top and bottom values.
https://godotshaders.com/shader/simple-sobel-filter/ is a screenspace effect used for the outlines (very subtle because it darkens the game considerably), just with `color + sobel edge detection` line uncommented and 'g' value plugged to alpha.
Did the sounds not play for you?
Let me know if you need more details :)

I tried to fish in the pond :P and apparently I got a fish from the trees somehow :D

Well done making a 3d game like this in such a short time! The atmosphere is very chill and in theme. Looking forward to seeing more gameplay! I didn't manage to discover what the sacrifices were. What did I miss?

Cheers!

Oh, the house has no collisions just so you know :D

Developer

Hello, thank you for playing! We'll add that to 1.1 update fixes we're working on. You didn't see the 3rd island (red one)?

Submitted(+1)

There's now thirty million dead fishies under the sand hahahah the island likes to steal

I really enjoyed your game! the whole environment is damn cool for a 3 day jam and I LOVED the ending.

Here you feel the serenity of the salty sea and reinvigorating spring.

Hey... what do I have to do with the salty sea??

This game has a very creepy atmosphere... which I love! It's almost like a liminal space? The fishing was a little wonky (about half of the time my bobber would revolve around me) but I managed. I enjoyed the vibe. I didn't quite understand the ending but it definitely weirded me out, which I think is what ya'll were going for. Good job!

really nice game, initially i've had a hard time figuring out what to do, but i managed to get to the end. loved the atmosphere, it was a little bit creepy especially at the end :D

What did the ending mean???

We'll get back to you on that one once we figure it out!

Very silly little game. I liked the grabbing system a lot

This is really cool. The colors, water effects, and sound really made the vibe work. The fishing was a little finnicky, but fun to play around with once I worked out the details of how it works. The ending was surprising and felt very Lovecraftian in a nice way. Great job on this!

I really like that the visuals transmit a very cozy vibe, but the objective of the game is something more dark(sacrificing fish). It's a really nice contrast.
