Oh thank you! That the previous runs cause _something_ in the environment is a great idea. It's hard to do right because it could potentially make any level trivial, but man if we could do something with it, it would be so great! thanks for the suggestion and the nice words. I've been thinking on coding a procedural generation of the levels but I'm kind of afraid of failing espectacularly.
The best trick is to slow down on the stars to fully recharge :) The current level can be won without this trick but it's waaaay easier :P give it another go. I guess you got all the permanent powerups, but if you didn't the topright is a distance meter to them. (don't feel bad if you didn't, nobody that I saw play got the distance meters)
Thank you for playing! I was having doubts about this mix of real photography + pixel art, it's difficult to get right and I was afraid it would make the game incoherent. You're the second person refering to it as a strenght. Would you go for it or change it to the same style as the rest? We weren't very coherent overall in terms of resolutions, for the next iteration I was thinking an aquarella or more artistic look like some other games had in the jam would be fitting. Like florish or spectacular smoothies here.
Super beautiful models and Story. It was so sweet to be a mother duck. A lot of untitled goose game vibes with the honking! Nice touch of threat with the eagles, which kept it engaging becaus ain't nobody gonna touch my babies.
By the end the army of ducklings took the whole pond :D very well made game, incredible polish for a three day jam. Hopefully you'll add an ending or continue the story as the jam ends!
Good challenging game! You could add different wasp behaviours sicne it was easy to dance around them. Took a second to understand that you had to move around the bee hive with the flower nectar to fill it up. It was a good teller that you start from there so I already knew I had to connect the flowers on the left with the hive. Well done! Very Springy!
Yay! I love bullet hell games! It was a bit troubling that you can't see where you are aiming and also that it was click to shoot instead of hold to shoot. The plant animations and model is fantastic, and the wasp is cute as hell! I'm a bit seasoned so I would've loved a much harder level :P but the artist from cozy growth enjoyed being able to bit a bullet hell for the first time hehe. Well done!
Waho it feels like a finished game, impressive that you did this in three days! It'd be nice that one could get in and out of the menu instead of going completely out of it. Not sure if there was a way since I don't own a game boy. I am in awe that you draw all this by yourself in a few days, it has so much personality, it's crazy good! The story is nice and it works, you should totally implement your other ideas. keep it up!
Interesting color palette you chose. Quite impressive you manage to code a working car, night and they cycle, the whole phone interaction thing.... wow. The gameplay is basic but all the modeling and car work compensates. I couldn't understand very well the voice messages and often the car gets stuck and I didn't manage to unstuck it.
driving underwater was fun hahaah a don't text and drive I guess hhaha
Crazy sprites you made there! The main character is espectacular, a lot of personality. Nice mix of 2d and 3d, althought the purple guy attack was weird when down of it. I didn't understand where his collision was since only registered at times so it was hard to consistenly hit him. Oerall a nice fun kiting combat with very good 2d characters.
Nice graphics! I missed the cozy a little bit but it was cool game to play! I think it would be much better in this perspective that the player would shoot where the mouse is looking instead of where the character is going. Good job having two different attacks and coding an enemy AI, those are hard things to do in a 3-day jam.
Ok took a bit of luck to see the shop and then everything made sense and the game was great. Unfortunately the second time I opened the shop it gliched or something and I couldn't select anything. The game has very good mechanics which I'm surprised you had time to add, so hat's off to you! The breathing mechanic with the screen effect, shop, weapon variation and enemy variation, sprinting (awesome running animation by the way. very nice!). Sometimes enemies spawn right on top of you which is jarring, but I think I might be able to beat it if it doesn't glich, so looking forward for a 2.0 version!
Wow I can't believe it took me so long to get to this game. It was beautiful and really cozy. I've always enjoyed landscaping and such. I'm really glad you had time to implement a day-night system since it gives the player so many options. It's a very clever idea. Well done and very good job. Also the focus setting change in the camera was the icying on the cake. There's a minor bug in which the mouse drifts down unless it's perfectly centered, but it might be just a bad load or the fact that I played on the web. Do you plan on develop it further? I really liked it.
