Improvement Ideas

Hi there! I love this jam, but i think there are some rules that somehow i find bland, the fun of making a dungeon crawler should be extending the genre and improving with new things! I have many ideas that i would use but if the rules are for example: strictly making a combat based game or some kind, how about one social dungeon crawler where you talk?  See where im going ;]

Anyway, thanks for making this jam!

maybe i took things a bit far.

The question is: Can i do these kind of improvements?

Happy you like this jam :) I understand the desire to extend the genre and make improvements. I also welcome that but not so much that it breaks away from the genre and moves into something entirely different and unrecognizeable. Combat is not required but there has to be some kind of interaction and events/deciders. This genre is traditionally a RPG with exploration, combat and character progression and I want to honor that. Combat doesn't need to be a hostile or physical one. It can be skill based (perform tasks), insults driven, a dice game, a typing contest etc. The sky is the limit. A mere social chat room on a grid stretches the rules too far though, sorry.

Got it now! Thank you :)

I would however like to see a first person grid based social chat room outside this jam :) In VR would maybe be even better :D

I got an even better idea!! You'll see it during jam  :3
