Happy you like this jam :) I understand the desire to extend the genre and make improvements. I also welcome that but not so much that it breaks away from the genre and moves into something entirely different and unrecognizeable. Combat is not required but there has to be some kind of interaction and events/deciders. This genre is traditionally a RPG with exploration, combat and character progression and I want to honor that. Combat doesn't need to be a hostile or physical one. It can be skill based (perform tasks), insults driven, a dice game, a typing contest etc. The sky is the limit. A mere social chat room on a grid stretches the rules too far though, sorry.
