Congratulations for your first game jam! I agree with the others, there's lots of potential and the dual state of the player could be used for some very nice puzzles.
A nice entry for your first jam! Good job and keep it up!
There is a lot of potential here! Do you plan to continue developing it?
Thanks for the compliment. we as a team have yet to discuss whether or not we will be continuing development on the project however there are certainly many features we would have liked to have added if there was enough time.

Nice graphics, combat worked well, Swapping between alive and ghost was difficult because it holds the button. Some variation in the map would be nice, so you have some landmarks when walking around. Has the potential to become a really good game after some more polish!
Im happy to hear that you enjoyed the artwork.
Sorry about the issue regarding swapping between alive and ghost form.
I agree that having more variation in the map would be good for exploration, I'll take that into account if we end up developing the game further.

Nice concept, well implemented theme. Felt a bit sluggish, but I get what you were going for. Oh and also, swapping was a bit hard since it kept swapping so long as the button was pressed instead just OnKeyDown or similar haha.
Thanks for letting me know about the sluggish feel of the game, I should have added an options menu.
Sorry about the issue regarding swapping between alive and ghost form. its current state is a result of its rushed implementation.
originally the player was to swap forms via combat and checkpoints however as the deadline drew closer it was apparent that it wasn't possible to complete it in time and so that system was hastily replaced with the button.

I'm glad "the script is working" :) I have a couple messages like that in my game too.
Good core for a game. I think you could build a lot onto this and make a very interesting maze crawler. I did feel like I accomplished something when I found the dragon/devil dude.
Im glad that you enjoyed exploring the dungeon I had built, sorry that there was nothing spectacular to greet you at the end of it.

I guess you were meant to interact with the devil at the end? It looks cool and the ghost does too.
Thanks for playing the game, You are correct in thinking that something was supposed to happen once you reached the devil at the end. it was supposed to start a boss fight, had the player won the game would have shut off with a message saying to turn the game on again and once you did you would have been sent to the next level, while the map for the second level had been created, as there was nothing in it, not even the combat script, it did not make it into the submission.

Game fits to the theme but, It feels very confused about what it wants to be. Game really doesn't seem to make a world to immerse you into. Starting ghost talks to you in a manner that doesn't feel right, using words like "ironically" really put me off.
Gameplay was confusing as well battle system was mostly reading text and then choose an option(of which first one is best anyway). Enemy names contained word "(clone)", I assume you instantiated a prefab for each enemy therefore unity named them with word "(clone)".
I did enjoy the visual novel aspect. the choices I made did steer the conversation differently.
Thank you so much for trying out our submission! I'll take your feedback into account when working on my next project.
