The world selection and the worlds themselves reminded me somewhat of Super Mario Galaxy, a game that I really like, so that immediately pulled me in. I also liked the different tools the little robot can use, but, like others have mentioned, it was not intuitive to me that the scroll wheel could be used to change tools. However, after learning this from the comments, I was able to complete the game without any further hiccups, so I feel that this was the only control that actually needed to be explained. The movement is quite intuitive (in a full-fledged game this of course would also need to be explained, but for a game jam game I don't find that such a big problem), and the picking up of boxes and other uses of left mouse button were explained in the UI. Maybe you could also use something similar to explain the tool change, but other than that, I really enjoyed the game and thought it looked very pretty!
Thank you for the feedback, That was definetly my mistake, when you developing something it sounds natural for you what to do next, but I have to remind myself it is not that obvious to others. But this is how we get experience, on my first gamejam I was so stuck to the story which made the game not fun to play, but just listening a story.. Then I tried to correct that on the second, and now I have a game with a fun mechanic but no story and explanation of things haha I just need to find this median point where I have best of both worlds xD
Hmm there a few problems with controls and design. From picking up objects, to what to do and how to play. Introduce every level with an intro. Great job though it has potential!
Nice game! Pretty fun puzzles, especially liked the solidifying lava mechanic. Also the robot is really cute, well made!
oh thank you for the feedback, I'll also play your game xD
I like the aesthetics of this game and it controls nicely. However, it is very difficult to figure out what to do. I made it through the first world, but I got stuck on the second world as I was not sure what to do with the wind power and it didn't seem like I could pick up the box. Also, I would make sure your sound effects are louder. I had to turn the volume up all the way in order to hear them. Great job on this though. You have a neat world, I think you just needed some tooltips or some other cues to give the player some guidance.
Hey thank you for playing and giving me a feedback, I know I should give the player more information, it was just a lack of time to do it, but if you want to try one more time it's just to use the scrool to move to the other skill then you can carry the boxes to their places and the air skill will be used on the next level, which is the most fun in my opinion xD
Thanks for letting me know to use the scroll wheel. I went back and was able to finish the game. Great job!
Here is my Feedback- The boxes feel some what clunky to pick up sometimes ,it is not very responsive. There is nothing really explaining what you need to do or what you mission is(A backstory would be nice) , also the UI could use some improvement. In the other hand by the end I understood the concept of the game and it is compliments the theme nicely. I specially like the terrain mechanic it is satisfying. The little robot is also cute and some maps like the island have a nice aesthetic to them. I feel like the biggest problem with this game is the lack of explanation or guidance. Why? well when you work out why do you work out? because you know your goal is to be fit. It is the same with games , you need to know why you're doing something or what will come out of going through the struggle. At least that is in most cases. Also in no way write this with hate intended , I specially like game jams because the feedback helps me grow as a developer and learn from my mistakes. The game has many pros but also many cons. In summary I think this game has a lot of potential once those few points are worked upon. I also take into consideration that do to the limited time given for this game jam one can not always strive for perfection. I hope my feed back helps for something. Keep it up!
Hey Thank you so much for playing and taking a time to give us a feedback. I agree with you in everything, the problem was really the lack of time.
