Argh ! Didn't manage to finish the game but it was a fun little experience. I enjoy the Idea and the fact that more and more strangers gets in the train invading your personal space. I must say I had the same experience since I live in a big city.

That being said I feel there is  room for improvment. For instance I had a huge sensitivity on the horizontal axis and so later on, especialy on stages with a lot of stranger and so little room for your personal space, I couldn't have the precise movements to place myself well and most of the time I ended up turning on myself stuck at one place gaining a lot of stress. Maybe it was what you aimed for and the weird control where you can only go forward and backward is a nice touch. I just wish rotation would be at least tweakable by the player with an ingame menu.

Also not knowing wich direction you are facing combined with the sensitivity issue for me made it that much harder to navigate.

Other than that, fun little game, I can imagine how fun it would be without strugling with the controls. I also like how the stranger move around even though sometime they are a bit... physical hahaha

Good point about mouse sensitivity, haven't thought about that. Initially, it seemed that if the rotation is too slow, it would be annoying, but you're right, the player themselves should decide how sensitive the movement should be.

Direction - you are definitely right. I had a thought to draw a cap or smth, but decided not to spend time on it. Will definitely add some pointer if I continue with the development.

Haha, yeah, I tried to make AI smarter and make them change destination after contact with other strangers, but it hasn't worked out that well when there a lot of them. Still need to work on the pathfinding algo.

Like it, controls feel a bit off and the character should have an indicator of what the front is, I often walked the wrong way, but overall a good game

Really cool interpretation of the theme! And an accurate depiction of my morning commute...

I liked the concept of being able to move in all directions to let you sidestep people and such, but as others have said the mouse controls are pretty hard to manage. If you ever go back and fix it up, I would say probably just have your character point at the mouse cursor would be most intuitive.

Overall, really liked this game! The use of the theme was great, and I would love to see more of this kind of thing!

To be honest, I tried different movement setups including the one you described. But somehow I liked the current one, because it was the most awkward and funny (yes, sidestepping is fun!), exactly how you would act in a similar situation in real life. :) But yeah, based on the comments it seems like it wasn't a good idea after all.

Good out of the box thinking for the theme "space". Controls are a bit wanky though.

Interesting concept but, the rotation thing with the mouse were the most frustrating controls I have ever used. In the future use wasd and then just mouse for rotation and keep them seperate. If you want you can play my and Mr.FluffyFoley's game here: https://c0d3d.itch.io/discord-jam2-wip.
