the UI was pretty slick! Great job!

A nice mini game with nice music. Just try to make the camera follow more closely so player can see up ahead when going fast.

Thanks for the feedback! Indeed, the camera position and speed to follow the player was an issue notice only near the end of the submission time, even tho it was an easy fix we ended up not solving it, definitely a thing to improve at the final build. As to the music, all credits go to the legend b-r-a-s-i-l, he did amazing work within the time that was given, put in mind that he also developed a lot of menu and level switching/select stuff.

I like the music on the menus, though the lack of music inside levels is a bit odd. Even reusing the menu music would be better than nothing. I wish there was better control of the player while mid-air, not even being able to turn around / slow down after jumping feels awful. I like the ideas and powerups, plus the level select / world map is pretty cool! From the game description, it sounds like you all learned a lot for your first jam, and I hope you keep it up in the future! Nice entry!

Thanks for the review! Indeed we had a rush at the end which ended up costing us quality in a lot of places. But a special thanks for telling us about the jumping awkwardness, indeed after you said it I went and re-tested the build that was uploaded and it really does feels strange, it wasn't like that when we developed. And because we plan on actually finishing the game that is definitely an important thing to fix.
And again thanks for the super constructive criticism! Really helps a lot for us as beginners.

the game lacks some UI stuff and visual stuff, but overall pretty basic

Developer

Indeed, we planned to get all assets and animations into the game, plus there is definitely a necessity for some UI explaining a bit about the mechanics. In the end, we got short on time and a lot of that didn't make it into the game.

Thanks for trying it out!
