I am starting this topic to motivate myself to make progress on the game each day
https://itch.io/jam/dogecoin-game-jam/rate/934104
First step I found a Doge model

Much polys, many wow

Now to create a rig I can use to animate, It came with a basic walk animation but I need it to run and jump!

I am using Maya LT

I downloaded a template project in unity in order to have a basis for my game. I am thinking the endless runner style game would be suited to the idea I have.

Hopefully I'm not biting off more than I can chew :D

Ohh endless runner, neat! Endless runner on the moon? Or to the moon?

Submitted

Mostly to the moon, possibly both depending on how much I get done :D
Future levels maybe you race Elon to Mars :P

How did you find it? There are a lot of moving parts in games dev, I'm still learning myself!

I did it! The game is playable!!

There's so much more I would have liked to add to this game, also there are a few bugs I haven't had time to fix (especially with Audio and UI) but I hope you enjoy :)
Now time to sleep, not had as much free time to work on this as I'd hoped so I pulled an all-nighter tonight :P

Collect Dogecoins, earn points, advance between levels and get to the moon!

Future updates to come hopefully

I would like to have added some small side quests/missions but it was beyond the scope of this wonderful Jam.

Here are some screenshots:

Now to catch some zzzzs

Good luck everyone!
