Despite having issues getting the controls down, I felt the gameplay on it was really good once I looked at the controls. I would love to see this concept fleshed out further.
Well done!
Very cool concept with physical controls and a really new take on dungeon crawler. I don't think I've seen a mech crawler before :) Well done so far and I can see the potential in this. I hope you develop it further.
I loved the mech cockpit and being able to control it physically that was really cool!!!
I apparently didn't see the instruction to use a controller but the cockpit all worked for me so that was a bonus! :D
unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to complete the level?
Did the turrets do anything, they just seemed to sit still for me?
Also I found I could walk through any wall or building which kind of spoiled the effect! :-)
Thanks! I'm really glad the VR controls worked for you, I was a bit worried about that.
I didn't have enough time to get the level to end, and yeah, the walking through walls was a bug that showed up at the very last minute. The turrets fired missiles, but they were easy to miss, there just weren't enough graphical effects to draw attention. Should be substantially better once the voting period ends.
If you're planning on working on it further, I would definitely lean into the physical VR controls more because that's really good! :-)
That explains why the turrets didn't appear to do anything :D
Excellent idea! Indeed in VR its hard to click several 3d UI buttons with controller. But setting keyboard buttons as 3d vr buttons makes the system much more realistic interactions.
