I couldn't get this to run in VR so I'm commenting it as a desktop game. Escape Beneath is a really decent attempt at a dungeon crawler. There is a lot in there and with some more polish on the particularly the interaction/movement side it could very well be a fun game to crawl. Too bad I couldn't get it to run in VR. I hope the dev will fix that because I really want to try it out.

We had several fixes ready to push within a few hours after the deadline, but as much of it felt like additional functionality we ultimately decided it would be unsportsmanlike to submit - unfortunately our bug fixes were in the build as well  XD.

As a team we have outlined the priorities for patching and are eager to push as soon as we can.

As for it not launching, I have an oculus quest 2 and SteamVR - I launch everything from my virtual desktop (.exe) and it kicks into SteamVR right away.

That was fun! unfortunately I couldn't get it to work in VR. It didn't seem to trigger SteamVR for some reason either with my WMR headset or Oculus Quest via Virtual Desktop :/
The party system was nice. I'm hoping to get it working in VR to see how that works! :-)

VR tech does seem to be a bit touchy, we will be patching as soon as voting is complete.

This was great, it was impressive how much content you were able to create. Although the VR didn't work for me, might be that I was using an old HTC Vive.

Developer

For some reason I thought we had to have both screen AND vr compatibility, we don't have a Vive for testing purposes though.

Yes, it worked without VR, so I was still able to play it

Great,  you did this all in UE. Nice UI.

Developer(+1)

I wish we could take credit for the UI, we didn’t have anyone to design something original in the jam - that is a placeholder 😅
