I've really enjoyed my first Itch Jam and Feedback Quest 4. I've watched so many streams, received some great feedback, AND I've met some amazing indie developers. I wanted to post a thread where we, as devs, can discuss the changes we plan to make to our games (based on the feedback we've received). I'll go first :-)

1. Implement full controller support - UNFINISHED

2. Settings menu where players can control audio volumes, game brightness, and other in-game features - UNFINISHED

3. More healing items and less grind - UNFINISHED

4. I need to consider shortening my demo. I was too generous with the content I included, and most aren't playing all of it - UNFINISHED

5. Explain some of my puzzles better and give more hints to prevent the aimless wandering many players have experienced - UNFINISHED

Thanks for starting the thread! I’ve also updated mine based on feedback received from Streamers, here’s the change log:

Oh, nice! I'll give your game another try with all these changes :-)

Oh that’d be great! I think these changes really improve the game so it’d be very interesting to know from someone who played the first version!

One thing that I finally decided to implement was arachnophobia mode. Still got a big spider in the loading screen you have to get past to get to the settings, but ingame models will be replaced.

TODO:

  • Add more sound effects - potions, lvlup, some enemies are missing etc.
  • More respawn locations (graveyards)
  • Stagger cooldown
  • Better skill assignment
  • Shops

This is a really good idea, considering so many people will avoid a game with a lot of spiders. I still need to try your game. I'll do that sometime this week :-)

yeah it will help alot for ppl who legit has serious spider fears. I know a few.
