Great retro polish. I found an error after I read the instructions and read me files before starting the liminal pool room. For some reason, the room never loaded. The flipper message appeared and the game played (invisibly) in the background, but it never left the desktop. I tried to retrigger the error, but it loaded properly and I cannot remember if I did anything else significant that round. I'm on a Windows PC.

Oh weird!
I will look into it!

Fun little pinball game, really liked the A E S T H E T I C and chill vibes. I thought the way the 2nd table changed was really cool.

One suggestion: add a tilt feature or some way to shake the ball in case it gets stuck. Around 25 min into the vod (can send a clip if you'd like), you'll see that the ball got stuck on the breakable barrier, between the barrier and the point giving piece (idk how to describe it). I racked up a hilariously high score, but had no way to dislodge the ball, so had to quit back to menu. Otherwise, a fun and chill pinball game!

Hey there!

I really appreciate the kind words. I managed to find you on Twitch & Twitter and I really am thankful for you streaming it.

I saw the highlight of the endless score bug! Great stuff :D

I love your suggestion! I have the right stick free so maybe I could do something with that!

On twitter, I'm @uk_resistant - if you end up doing anymore streams, please do Tag me and I will share!
Thanks again!

Jam Host

Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 7! My name's Hythrain and I'm one of the hosts and one of the streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live as I stream your game! If you're interested in seeing my live reaction, let me know and I can send you a link to the VOD once it's posted to YouTube!

So my normal approach for any game in these events is simple: I get the game, make sure it's not a virus, then play it with as little information on how to play as possible. This way, I can judge how intuitively someone can figure out the game. Only if it's obvious that I need to read more will I do so. I note this so you can get a sense where some of these feedback comes from. In addition, I want to note that feedback and rating are different; don't use this feedback to gauge what I'll rate, nor should you view my rating as entirely indicative of my feedback.

This game is just fun. I love it. Tenouttaten.

In all seriousness, I love the mid-game board changing. I think it's going to be what really makes this stand out. Not just because it's a unique method for changing the board, but because you could theoretically do it multiple times! I could see a game where you have to progress through multiple boards to reach a specific point. Some boards could be randomized, some could be set. So much potential here.

I did find some minor bugs during my play, but the VOD will do much better for explaining this than I can.

Hope to see more!

It makes me so happy that you love the game! Really helps me stay motivated!

So, RE: Midboard changing - Im glad you like it and want more because that's exactly what is coming next. I envision each table have 3 or 4 layers. Some will be linear, maybe some will be more like "dungeons" where theres things to do. I myself like unlocking new areas in games and it just seems to fit well with what Im going for.

Please do link me your playthrough - I'd love to put it on the steam page too if thats cool?

Jam Host

Here is the link to the VOD. As for using it for the Steam page, it's tempting but I'm also really bad at the game. XD

Appreciate you!

Really solid atmosphere you built here. The vaporwave color scheme with lofi tracks definitely makes a good zone-out pinball game. I did encounter one bug where after I lost my last life on the first table, the game froze on the menu and would not let me move the cursor or click on anything. I didn't run into any other issues though so nicely done overall.

I'm glad you enjoy the vibe!

That sounds like a strange bug - may I ask - are you using a controller or mouse/keyboard? Hopefully it is a quick fix my end!

(by the way, if you dig the game, please Wishlist on steam , as it really helps small developers like me!

I was using just the mouse and playing the browser version. I hope that helps!

Developer(+1)

When you say browser version, do you mean you played it in a browser or did you download and play it ?

Submitted

Oh jeez, I'm so used to trying jam games in the browser that I wasn't even thinking my bad. I downloaded and played it on Windows 10 not in browser. Whoops, sorry for the confusion on that. It was the .exe build that I ran into the problem after the first table.

Developer(+1)

No worries 🙂

Il see if I can track down the issue

Developer

Hey! I managed to fix this issue. There is a new version to download, so hopefully you will have a better time!
