Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 7! My name's Hythrain and I'm one of the hosts and one of the streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live as I stream your game! If you're interested in seeing my live reaction, let me know and I can send you a link to the VOD once it's posted to YouTube!
So my normal approach for any game in these events is simple: I get the game, make sure it's not a virus, then play it with as little information on how to play as possible. This way, I can judge how intuitively someone can figure out the game. Only if it's obvious that I need to read more will I do so. I note this so you can get a sense where some of these feedback comes from. In addition, I want to note that feedback and rating are different; don't use this feedback to gauge what I'll rate, nor should you view my rating as entirely indicative of my feedback.
Right off the bat, this one felt a little strange for me. Catching acid rain in buckets? But hey, not gonna judge the concept alone.
What I felt, however, was a huge spike in difficulty from the 20 second stage and the 80 second stage. Putting aside the increased length of time, there's so much more going on. On top of this, in some spots it's actually impossible to get all drops, because they're too wide out. I also find the responsiveness for moving the buckets is just awful. It can be very slow, and being unable to cross the buckets over forces the player to have to move them in tandem instead of being able to let each hand focus on their own thing.
My top recommendations would be these three:
1. Let the buckets move faster, especially the mouse based one. That should move at the speed of the mouse.
2. Let the buckets cross over. To prevent confusion on which is which, you can recolour one of the buckets to indicate it as the arrow or mouse bucket.
3. Reduce the speed of which rain falls. One thing you could do is make everything fall slower but the drops still fall at the rate they're supposed to. So this would result in a lot more rain drops on screen, but you'd have way more time to plan out catching them.
I hope to see more in the future.
Thanks so much. I’d love to take a look at your stream to better understand how players approach the game. If you can share the link they’d very appreciated.

Tried it and I had a fun time catching the acid (also managed to beat the highscore ^^), though the controls felt kinda slugish. Would have loved for a more responsive behaviour of the buckets, especially the bucket controlled with the mouse felt laggy.
Maybe consider going for a more cohesive art style as this would improve the overall experience.
Anyway, keep up the work :) Cool game!
The game is well made, I like the different types of difficulty and also how the drops fall to the rhythm of the music, but I think that the artistic section can be improved since there are things that are more detailed than others and I also think that it is due balance hard mode.
Hello, my baby and I tried your game and we enjoyed collecting the acid rain with the bucket and the music, I would give it a pretty high fun factor, totally did not expect someone to go this route in game design I find it very interesting. The game is good by itself, but if you ever wish to take this to say... android or OS market, I would encourage a minor update on the bucket visual to give it a more polished look, a simple 3D looking sprite, or a more polished, painted 2D, little more gradient in the sky, and you can get more people playing. Perhaps add a bit of bump and shakes when the buckets bump each other and loose some collection, that would add to the playing chaos and really add some interesting risk factor for the game.
My VOD: 58:07 Acid rain
Thanks so much for the feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed it. This gives me confidence that I should try to hey involved with an artist to take the project forward.
