Two weeks. This was originally for Trijam#152 but I ended up wanting to spend more time adding features and polishing it.

Fun game. Nice graphics. It would be nice if it automatically picked up cheese.

Oh, no! My mouse! The wiggles in the mouse animation, in particular, are great. I'd like to see more stealth mechanics and maybe more places to hide as it's a horrible sense of dread when you realise you can't run away fast enough and there's nowhere to go. This was fun. It's a cool idea. I hope you'll keep working on it. I'd suggest looking at Kickflip, The Horse, a game some friends of mine made, to see how achievements can be added to give players a sense of progression and accomplishment. Eat 10 pieces of cheese, hide from 5 cats, stay still for 15 seconds, etc etc.

Thanks for your  feedback! Your friends' game is really fun to play, I see what you mean about the achievements. I might take some inspiration from a system like that in the future!

This is the only game in the entire jam that I've almost given a perfect score on all criterias. Only the idea is too simple to warrant more than 3 stars, but everything else is a 5. You can be proud especially since most ppl here seem to agree that is an enjoyable experience.

One thing you should prolly fix is the model for the mouse in the main menu because it looks like it has blue stubby mandibles coming out of its head.

Thanks for the feedback! This originally started as a really simple concept that I could make in a single weekend (though I wasn't able to finish it then), so I didn't have much more planned out than "eat cheese and run away." If I were to spend more time on development I can definitely see myself adding some more features, like what's been recommended in comments.

As for the mouse in the title screen, there's not much I can do about that since it's from an asset pack I used 😅. I'm more of a programmer, and tend to use pre-made assets to speed things up.

If you use Unity, I think you can hide parts of a model that you don't want to show.

I loved how cute and colorful this game was! I think something that could maybe improve it is a visual indicator that an enemy has spotted you/isn't looking for you anymore, to really play up the stealth element. Either way, impressive for just two weeks!

That's a good idea! If I have time to iterate over this project in the future I could add something like that. I'd originally planned to add eye animations for when the enemies see you, but had to scrap that idea after I realized that they weren't very visible with how far away the camera is from the ground. Now that I've had time away from working on this project I can think of some other visuals that could help indicate seen/not seen.
