Pretty cool.

Developer

Thank you everyone for all your nice and helpful comments, I really appreciate it!

This was really cool! A nice short but complete story. There were a few things you had to figure out, such as how to get the ticket or how to get the machine working again. But for each it was clear what the problem was, and there were enough hints pointing at what you had to do. Because of this I think it was really satisfying to solve the problems in the end ^_^

My only real complaint was that it was very easy to accidentally close a text box before I had read all of it. Otherwise the art and music were nice and matched the atmosphere really well.

Great submission! I enjoyed this one a lot :D

I also liked the idea of all point and click, but this has such a great vibe - fun and interesting visual/audio!

Nice work, especially for a first game. Huge congrats on shipping! The visuals are great and the writing is good too.

I feel like you don’t really need the WASD for movement, just point and click would probably work, right?

This is the most visually appealing game I have seen ever! I love every single sprite in it. The music was nice and all sounds tbh. Very good job!

Wow, what a cohesive game! The tone you set from the beginning is very strong, and then every other aspect of the experience reinforces it. I felt like every item I touched was gross and sticky. The sound design/music is currently very forward, for example the popcorn machine sticks around very loudly even when you move away a short distance, and the credits music is much louder than all the other music - but those are really minor things, and easy to solve with more time. Well done!

Developer

Thank you!! I'm so glad the game felt sufficiently gross and sticky, lol. And thanks for letting me know about the volume issues! That was the very last thing I added, so I figured there would be some problems. I'll fix it in the next update!

I really like this little world you created. I wasn't sure if there was an ending because it's a bit rough around the edges, as you know, and then I figured out what I had missed and got all the way through. One suggestion I have is that you set it that when there is dialogue on the screen and the player clicks it shows all the dialogue (fast forwards the text display) and doesn't skip it. I'm used to other games doing that because I read fast and want to get to the next line and so I kept missing the text because it would skip to the next line of dialogue. Nevertheless, this was fun. I hope you'll keep working on your point-and-click adventure skills because I would love to play more games in this world. I love the quirkiness.

Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, that would be super helpful, I'll have to do some research into how to implement that. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Love the character art! Even if it's short, the puzzle is fun to figure out and it feels rewarding to finish the game. Having a puzzle game set in a movie theater is definitely an interesting idea.

This is an awesome idea. I really enjoyed the colorful vibe, the chiptune-type music, and the unique character designs. I think in the future you could maybe spread it out more, have different rooms or more challenges because it felt a little on the short side. Excited to see what you work on in the future.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, I wanted to keep the scope of this project small, but I'd love to return to this world in the future!
