A campaign framework that's right up my alley, tonally and historically. The traits and rolls are well thought out and numerous enough to allow for a diverse roster of potential characters, and the other resources make for a game that suggests a more distinct feel than simply FIST in the great depression. Layout is admittedly plain and would gain a lot from some artwork or more period photography. Would love see this setting expanded upon more as I think there's a lot of potential here.

STYLE: The intro is written in a way the evokes images of the time period...and adds some mystery and a sense that strange things are happening.   I enjoyed reading many of the new traits and found myself wanting to travel on the rail system...maybe with the haunted trait.

Would also love to see some imagery or art for this piece.

SUBSTANCE: The writing is clear and concise. The traits are all great...there are a wide range of abilities that would be cool in play.  They faithfully follow the spirit of FIST in that many of them come with a cost.  The Littlest Hobo, for example; just attempting to communicate would be a challenge!

I'd be interested in seeing what kinds of creatures or characters I might meet in such a setting.

A nice and short framework to play as US depression vagrants.

Review after reading. This is a very nice framework to play as folkloric americana hobos.  The best part are the traits & roles which are very evocative giving a good feel as to the vibes of the intended campaign. They seem like they would lead to fun characters.

FIST GAME JAM V score

STYLE: 4/5, The writing gives a clear sense of the vibes of a US depression hobo campaign. Some more art would be nice.

SUBSTANCE: 4/5, The traits, roles and new procedures are great. It could be expanded with some items, NPC stats blocks and an example adventure but that is me wanting more which is a good sign.
