Made for Friendly Music Jam 2 (crunched and not happy with it but wanted to upload in time.) Theme: Geomusic (Did you see it? Is this a real ghost girl chilling at the lake house, or just an elaborate hoax? You decide! ;D)

It's a little rough around the edges but I still really like this track, I think the raw nature of it contributes to the spookiness in a good way!

Definitely feels like something I'd hear in an indie horror game and think was a good soundtrack.

The ghostly choir part that comes in halfway through I particular enjoy.

Hey! So sorry for the late answer! Wow this is some nice feedback! "Definitely feels like something I'd hear in an indie horror game and think was a good soundtrack" ... man this makes me really happy! Thank you so much! <3

no problem! :)

That's cool, the tension of a sighting is there. The switch that happens at exactly 1:00 is really powerful (an making it happen exactly at 1:00 makes it more satisfying :D). It's a fun take on the theme, surprising but you can't say it doesn't fit! I think it would have been really cool if the track ended in suspension, maybe at a climax, with the unresolved tension. But it still works great!

Heyy! I do apologize for the late answer! I'm very happy you like it and funnily enough I didn't even recognize the switch happens at exactly 1 mins. :D Actually a great idea to let a creepy track end in tension rather than a fade! Thanks so much for your feedback!

for a crunched jam, this still sounds great! The drums give this whole thing so much intensity. And I like that you went with a spooky theme rather than something chill. :) There must be a ghost girl I am sure!!

Heyy! Sorry for the horribly late answer! Thank you so much for giving it a listen and your feedback! Glad that you like it! I actually planned to do something chill as well but when I zoomed in and saw the ghost lady I had to embrace the creepiness :D

I think we all crunched and are dissatisfied with the result, so don't worry about it too much. I like the arrangement and the ambient textures you've created to create that feeling of uneasiness and unresting-mood, but I feel like it might be a tad too intense for the image (I imagine a dark dungeon, an underground cave, a boss level, something in these "waters"), even though there is indeed a ghost creeping up on the photo !

Developer

Hey there! Thank you so much for listening and your great feedback! I see where you come from regarding the track being a bit too intense for the picture! I tried to capture the feeling of shock and horror you must experience when you suddenly spot something unfathomable (potentially paranormal) on a normal vacation photo. :D
