Zip of All Games?

Congrats on a successful Jam! As an organizer, you should be able to download all submissions as a Zip if I’m not mistaken. Would you willing to share that? We could host it on GBS Central if bandwidth is a concern.

Since my submission is one of the things that'd end up in that ZIP file, I'm wondering what you're going to use it for. There's probably a lot of ways you could use it that at least I'd be okay with, to be honest. I'm just curious.

What I’m referring to is taking all the submissions and downloading them, then zipping them to a single bundle. It’s easier this way to load all of them to a flash cart and play them for voting.

I won't share the zip. (Only exception are the sponsors.)
And I hope no one else will create one.

Cause I don't want to pull away the traffic from these games peolpe put so much work in.
Maybe they care about their itch.io stats.
I would do!

Also, the admin zip would be useless. You would end up with a bunch of games called game.gb and zips called rom.zip and wouldn't know which games these are! :D

I downloaded them all by hand and renamed them.

@Prox: As you are part of the sponsors, drop me a message on Discord! :)

Thanks for your thoughtful response :)

Great philosophy.

as Tronimal said, a full zip download is not a good idea.

But since you are an organizer, you may want to keep things organized...
I made a playlist (for myself) to keep track of played games quickly (and offline) after I downloaded all of them.

I was just using it internally but decided to share.

May be helpful for you:

Damn! This is so impressive. Thanks for sharing!!!
