I thought the way the two player characters worked together was really good.  And the lighting and atmosphere was great.  Th animations for getting on the robot was a nice touch.

Nicely done!!! I was impressed. I really like the amount pressed/Jump ratio. I happened to get to the gate a soon as I got my mech but, was surprised to see that it didn't let me finish without going through the "trials". It just kept resetting me at the gate. ;) A few little things here and there that were annoying like my mech got stuck on the part where he was supposed to jump. I didn't have the ablity to jump yet but he followed me up on the ledge and pushed me down.. so I could not reach him and had to "restart" over at the garage. But, eventually finished it.  Great job!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback. How did you get the mech up to the residential area without completing the trials though? He shouldn't be able to go the way you entered the area from when he can't jump yet 馃檭

Yeah, I heard about that before that the mech pushed someone down from the ledge at the end. I need to check the navmesh there, and also add another respawn point after the draw bridge.

Thank you for playing!

Well ... I kind of walked along the edge of the fence... I will try to make a video and show you. Lol.

Very nice game with a nice atmosphere.

However, I missed more sound effects.

I finished it with no problems and only one bug hindered the gameplay and it was right at the beginning.

Impressive work considering the time given ;D

Developer

Wow nice shot you got there. Thanks for your feedback. May i know what bug you encountered in the beginning?

Actually the door in the screenshot has no collision, so I got inside the building

Developer

Thanks, I'll fix that. Have to redo all colliders anyway to optimize for performance.

Really nice, I did have to press esc quite a lot though, but I got to the end. Even managed to run around the rooftops, which was fun. The guy at the kiosk came over to have a word with the guards lol...

Developer

Sorry about the glitches...  that made you reset the characters. I'll try to fix the ones i know about. But great that you could finish it and yes, jumping around on the rooftops is the highlight of the game for me.

No need to apologise, the map is huge for the time available. And there were a few places where I tried to find shortcuts and fell off, so mainly my curiosity was to blame lol. Out of all the games submitted I spent the most time playing and exploring this one, so hats off to you!

Another great game from Gypynkt! I love the environment design with all the random NPCs doing their own stuff. I'm not sure if is it just me but I'm having terrible framerate issue, fps sometimes dip to 30 or lower.

Developer(+1)

Thank you. Yeah, the environmental design was really what I had the most fun with. Frame rate issues are definitely possible because I haven't actually optimized it much because it was so rushed during the jam... Thanks for playing :)

its not just you ;) It was playable enough for me but i'd guess maybe 20 FPS (though thats at slightly above 4k for me)

Developer

my benchmark for ultrawide here is 5120x1440 which is below 4k. definitely gonna do some more optimization for the next update though.

Submitted

"4k" (3840 x 2160)= 6,374,400
5120x1440 = 7,372,800
"true" 4k (3840x2160) = 8,899,200

so i guess it depends which numbers you go by. I go by the common standard but yeah my monitor is also 5120x1440)

Developer (1 edit)

Your "4k" and "true" 4k have the same resolution. ;) I only know 4k as 3840x2160, and that's 8.294.000...
