Loved the idea! The gameplay was fun too! Bravo!
Thanks so much for playing!
Nice. Feels good to watch your power grow. And cool to see a game featuring a healer as a main character. I also enjoyed the funny dialogue. More powers, faster unlocks, and some punchier juiciness would be some suggestions. Thanks for the game!
These are fine suggestions! Thanks for the feedback.
Out of curiosity, is there a reason that the mouse has to be over the warrior to heal them? I just found myself leaving my mouse in place over the character the entire game, which makes me question why the mouse position is even considered in the first place.
I originally wanted to have additional party members and just ran out of time. It's a good point. I need to go back and clean that up.
The idea was fun, but unfortunately the main game loop becomes tedious after a few, uh, loops. I think it's missing something to keep the player engaged.
The party dialogue and upgrades are designed to be the "cookies" that keep the player coming back. I tried to keep the game loop short enough that these events come back enough to engage the player.
An idea that I did not have time to implement would have allowed you to get additional upgrades based on level progress or how much damage/healing. (by earning 'boon' currency)
This looks and sounds good and definitely fits the theme with the 'Edge of tomorrow' vibe. It would have been good to see more variation in the enemies and potentially needing to learn patterns to beat them to make the player upgrade between each run too as they learn the enemy spawns, Good work.
Thanks!
I agree that new enemy types, addl. party members, and perhaps even a checkpoint system would add more depth to the player experience.
