The animations and characters look good, i enjoyed them. it's a shame that the Boss and a few other things i heard about aren't in the game, though i heard some pretty convincing excuses as to why.
I enjoyed the features of there actually being a block and that the kick actually pushes the enemy away
However it really feels like the kick really teleports the enemy's to the left instead of the direction i kicked them. Also the whole area being a wood texture feels a bit weird, not making it feel like it's space or Astral instead of just being a tavern fight between aliens.
Team Fallen Gods - When playing the game we really liked the look of the character and enemies and we also liked the fighting actions, how there was something put in place to exaggerate the actions! We also liked the effort put into the scene with the 3D modelling but it could be improved with some more variety as it all appears to be the same material. Something else to improve on would maybe try make it less 'trippy' when moving up and down as it looks a little odd almost as a 2D character in a 3D environment. Another thing we noticed was that the little robot dude would have a weird glitch every so often where it would multiply and then go back to normal which was funny. It was a nice game though with really nice character detail.
The art and animation for the character was very good, and I enjoyed the blend between 2D and 3D which was very creative. However, the background itself could use other textures instead of the same wood texture across the whole ship. Also, the game itself felt very incomplete. You couldn’t take damage from enemies, and it lacked objectives. Also, you need to add a control scheme maybe in a menu screen or the description.
the style was very fun! reminded me of old click and point adventure games where the 2D sprites go back and forth from the background to the foreground, A health implementation and some sea shanty music would have been nice! :-)
