I finished in 1:29.08. As for my first bug time, I don't know what was and wasn't intended, so I couldn't tell you.
The wall jumping felt very random, so I just mashed buttons as fast as I could and I got up eventually. It felt like maybe you had an idea that you were working towards, but there isn't really enough there yet to see what it was, sorry :(.
I wish I could play more of it! I also used a one-button charge mechanic in my game! Cute, and I like that it seems like a PS2 game menu.
The introduction is so cool.
I guess sometimes it's inevitable to upload an unfinished game into a game jam... This is much shorter that what I had expected though. It's only the intro stage but it's surprisingly not bad. It seems you prioritized polishing over length; and I suppose an unfinished but polished game is better than a full-content but totally unpolished game.
I think this is pretty standard though (although the hold any key mechanics is pretty creative) and can have some more creativity - but hey I have nothing against something standard. Not bad.
Good job, and good luck!
Nice, really cool intro, the wall climbing level was really hard. Left me wanting more levels.
All in all, great job getting this done in a month.
Thanks for checking it out! Were you able to make it up the walls on the first try? Sometimes the jump velocity and trajectory felt like it was affected by machine performance and I wouldn't actually be able to get out. I'd love to make sure no one has that problem.
Either way, thanks for checking it out =]
The introduction video is really nice, but does not seem to be related to the game. Maybe the game needs some story or tutorial. It is a bit strange...
heh, the alley was supposed to be from a raccoon's perspective, finding a console and tv in the trash and playing it (hence the one-button controls). I couldn't find a model to include in the scene, so what's there now feels like a weird, swoopy, unrelated intro and frame crop.
Nonetheless, thanks for checking it out and for your feedback! =]
