A really intriguing idea and entry. Seems you've already had a discussion about some awkwardness of the controls/edges situation. I'd love to see a more developed entry if you manage to deal with that (and possibly - if you manage to resolve the browser compatibility issues).

The concept was good, but the controls were a little bit off for me.

I like the idea of there being multiple gravity directions, which you need to utilize in order to traverse through the levels. However, the character was too slippy to control, and there was no ability to control your movement midair. These two elements, really need to be fixed, because they make the game way too hard to play!

The graphics and sound effects, also could be better. They're not bad, but the maps aren't that detailed, and there aren't that many sound effects.

Mid-air acceleration did not work for reasons already explained in another reply.

Not sure I understand what "slippy" means, but I guess you refer to the friction being too low.

It was fun and I enjoyed the concept a lot.  I think that some of the physics are a little wonky though.  I had problems doing something like walking off an edge even on the second level.  

I feel like this shouldn't be hard to do.  I'm not sure what I was expecting to happen though.  I think when I walk off the edge I was expecting to have gravity pull me to the right, not up suddenly.  Maybe gravity should start pulling you to the closest surface towards the center?

Thank you for writing. I will try to explain the physics. It is really simple actually. At the diagonals of the canvas the gravity force shifts. If an edge is situated at a diagonal the jump is easy since the gravity shift occurs  in mid-air. The problem you mention is an effect of this edge being off-diagonal. I agree that this is awkward, and that the level design could be different.

I think you shouldn't have force player to return at the first level on losing. This game is rather hard as it is (with no ability to change trajectory it's too often I land right near the monster). Just return the player at the beginning of the current level.

Hmm... I don't agree. The game does not return you to the first level on losing. Just press "R" to restart at the current level.

This could be so fun with the ability to change velocities midair, just a bit. Jumping up when you’re standing right next to something is impossible!

Great to get some feed-back! I agree that velocity cannot be changed in midair is annoying. In the early versions this was possible, but there was a problem. When you are at the diagonals you could start drifting into deep space by pressing two buttons. So to avoid this problem I disabled velocity changes midair. I am sure there are better ways of doing this.

This is probably the first game I have played on itch that doesn't work on Firefox... I am lucky I tried to play this on campus right now with Chrome during my free time - my home PC only has Firefox when it comes to browser games.

More or less pretty nice, but there are some flaws.

The mechanic is pretty creative, but I don't think this is the first of its kind - still worthy of praise though.  However, sometimes it can get a little hard to control.

The graphic is cute and does the job well, but it seems the pixels are blurry. In whatever engine you are using, there should be a filter to make the pixels not blurry (Just what engine do you use? I didn't know there are engines that export browser games that are unplayable on Firefox).

The audio is good. I have no complain. Pretty standard but it does the job well.

Overall it's a pretty good game. Just a little bit more polishing and it should be a legitimately good game.

The game is made in HTML5 and Javascript, no engine was used. I don't know exactly why the game does not work in Firefox but it is related to the sound. Actually, the game works locally on my computer in Firefox, even if the sound is broken, but nothing works when I upload it to Itch.io. So finding out what is wrong is almost impossible for me. Someone at Itch.io should take a look at this...

But damn... building your game from ground zero? And with Javascript no less... I can only imagine the amount of work needed.

Well most of the code is just copy pasted from other games, and I I don't have to do any compilation :)

Could use a lot more to it but the concept is neat and it fits the theme. Would be interesting if you built this out into a puzzle game that utilized gravity on small bodies in a Mario Galaxy sort of way.

Thanks! Happy you liked it. So you mean like jumping from body to body? Yeah, that would be cool. Thought about adding a spaceship but it turned out that jumping around inside the planet was complicated enough for me.
