Theme interpretation
I've interpreted the theme as "do something that makes you get out of our comfort zone", so I did. I've never made a game before. I'm glad that I've learned something through the way.

Nice art and sound :)
I think, the amount of shots it takes to eliminate the enemies is quite hight, especially in the beginning. More enemies that die quicker feels better IMO. Also I had a bit trouble with the camera, somehow I wasn't able to enter fullscreen...
Otherwise pretty solid entry. The particles when a bullet hits are great! Good job!
Really cool game! It is quite challenging but there is a good difficulty progression. I enjoyed the different waves and the final boss :)
Well done!
Thank you, bro! Nice submission of yours!
awesome first game, way to go! I lost at the third type of enemy but had a lot of fun playing it,
maybe the enemies are a bit too difficult, or maybe I'm just bad at it lol
It is very difficult indeed! haha I'll balance that.
I've found the graphics of your game very pleasable, nice work there! I've just struggled with the key movements (I'm used to use SPACE to jump, not to shoot haha) and with the camera movement (sometimes you can see clearly what is in front of you and then you fall). Loved the "Owlmen" characters! Nice job!
Congratulations on your first game! That's already quite an achievement. It's already a real solid entry. It is complete with music and enemies, and a menu, and different weapons. The particle effects are very cool. So great work there. Try working on balancing the game out a little: it can get a little overwhelming really fast for the player even if they are playing perfectly. But again, well done making your first game. Keep going! Keep making more. You can only get better at it.
Thank you! Game is indeed out of balance in the difficulty part, I'll fix that in the later upgrades.
Your game is very nice! Well done, loved the humor on the dialogues haha
Is this your first game? Congrats! It's a really nice and complete submission!
Some thoughts:
1) Make the SFX volume consistent with the music volume (the "machine gun" sounds way too loud hah)
2) You should try to avoid spawning enemies too close to the player
3) Enemies shouldn't shoot you if they are not on screen
Hahahahah the machine gun is too loud indeed hahahah I have to change that. Yes, it is my first game. It took more time than I imagined. Making games is not that easy! haha I will change those things in the next updates, thanks for the tips and feedback! I've played your game too, it was different from the others I've played, love it! I would suggest something like a "roadmap" indicating how many waves are left until the boss or something like that! You may as well drop some enhancements to the player as he passes through levels/waves. Cheers!
Making games is indeed not easy but really enjoyable!
Thanks for playing my game and for your feedback, I'll look for adding some of that stuff for a post jam version! :D
This game is so action packed. Love it! It's funny, that you start with a corn gun xD. I lost the boss fight the first time, but i will defenitely play it again. You could give some feedback, about how far the player has progressed and how many waves there are until the boss. I also liked the musik and that you can get better if you understand the enemies and the weapons. Well done!
I thought to myself: "what does resonate with an alien? Corn, of course!" hahaha I'm glad you liked! Thanks for the tip, I'll do it for sure. I've played your game, loved the mechanics, even though I couldn't pass level 2 hahaha
Could not expand to full screen. Audio had Kool vibe to it! Wasn't sure what I had to do until I died and replayed. Nice job on completing:)
Hey! I've fixed the full screen problem. Now it should work. Thanks for the greetings! I've played your game as well, loved how you put your daughter's illustrations on it!
