Error: Couldn't load project data at path ".". Is the .pck file missing?

If you've renamed the executable, the associated .pck file should also be renamed to match the executable's name (without the extension).

Developer

You extracted the zip and then ran the exe in that folder with the .pck?

I tried the web version on Firefox and Mac.

Cool game! I really like the overall theme and the gameplay! I can only imagine how cool this would be too play together! Nice work! :)

What a great game! 😄

I had so much fun playing this! I’m normally not a huge fan of puzzle platformers (though I made one for this jam 😅), but this one was great! The controls worked well, and the physics of the rope gave just enough leeway to pull some exciting recoveries even from seemingly lost situations! It made me feel quite good to be able to rope myself out of a giant pit where there was seemingly no way out!

The only criticism I have is that on some levels it was not clear where I was supposed to go, and because of the flexibility of the mechanics I could get myself to the edge of the map before realizing the next level trigger was somewhere else. But this is easily fixable!

Overall, this is one of the most fun games I’ve played in this jam! Good job! ☺️

Developer

thank you so much! In glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for the feedback!I’ve been planning on redoing a lot of the artwork myself and with that, I’ll add some sort of level indicator.

Thank you!!

It reminded me Bread and Fred. I wish it had some AI so lone wolfs also could played it.

Developer

if you’re up for a challenge you can control the two players by yourself! It takes some getting used to but it can be fun! Also, I was not aware of Bread and Fred before reading your comment but it seems like my idea has already been done haha. Oh well!

As far as I know they don't have an AI so it will be very hard to do but if you can make an AI version  you can move the idea further. I am warning you though this will need a very good AI even people who made AI for years can not make this kind of AI. An easy shortcut is just to make scripted AI for each level

I love seeing other Godot games out here, so many in this jam! I had a lot of fun playing your game, and I hope you continue to develop it as I can absolutely see the potential, I was just hung up by a couple bugs while playing the web version.

It’s so cute! All in all, very well done.

Developer

Yeah the web version is a bit jank but hey it’s a version 1. Thanks for playing my game though! And I’ve had a lot of fun developing in Godot. It just feels good to work with!

Funny game. It’s a pity that I didn’t have anyone to play with, so I controlled two characters at once. By the way, this reminded me of that same game about penguins.

Developer

you and me both. I really want to play it with someone because I imagine it could be quite fun to screw over your partner. Thanks for playing!

Loved the concept!  Not sure if this is meant to be local co-op but I played it by myself controlling both characters.  It was really difficult but I think the idea has so much potential.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it! It is meant to be played as one person, but I imagine it could be quite fun with two. Thanks again!
