Nice little game!

Ironically, I got too big, and got stuck in a doorway. Then I spent my size on speed upgrades, which made me too fast, so I went into lava. I feel like there is some sort of moral there? 😄

Congratulations, really well made! It was very satisfying to have get a large eating range and getting tons of items in one go!

Oh no, sounds link a buffer alignment issue (probably your position is getting interpreted as the amount of hits received this frame)

This is my first time working with compute shaders in Godot, so I would appreciate if you could give me a little more information about this bug, so I can avoid it in the future. Can you give me your system specs (CPU, GPU, OS)? If you are not comfortable sharing this kind of info, that’s also fine, it would just help me make my games a little better 😄

The Linux build works fine (I use Linux myself), the number of bullets is as intended. I do agree that this game ended up being more difficult than I intended, sorry about that!

While there is a hard cap on the amount of bullets in flight at 2 million, in practice “only” around 60 thousand bullets are in flight at a time. I was trying out a new method for spawning bullets in a bullet hell game, and I got a little carried away I guess. Sorry 😅

You’re right, you definitely have to be strategic and go for easier turrets first. I actually tuned the power and health up last-minute before submission, because the game felt too difficult. Hope it made it more fun 🙂

I thought Befunge was a cursed language, but it’s surprisingly nice once you get the hang of it!

I have checked, and it seems that there was a problem with the WebSocket connection in Chromium-based browsers.

Unfortunately, I was unable to test this beforehand, because my Chromium is broken 😢

Please try again! Depending on how long the page takes to load, you might need to wait a couple of seconds for Clappy to become active.

Disabling Clappy via Devtools should be done with care, removing the wrong div will cause everything to be irresponsive. You can do document.getElementById('clappy').classList.add('hidden') to “gracefully” disable Clappy from the Devtools!

Both characters were cute in their own way.

I do think the gameplay could be made a little more interesting though. As is it was a little repetitive.

Very similar concept to Neoway in this same jam!

There were definitely a lot of clever puzzles, that seemed impossible at first, but were solvable once you realized the path to victory!

I gave up at level 8, I feel like the control scheme is a little too rigid for me to make it work, but that’s probably just down to my terrible platforming skills.

In any case, solid platformer! Good job! 🙂

For all the profound melancholy you managed to add some lines that are kind of funny in their sadness: “Your boss gave you an above average performance review. Your salary will increase by 1.7% this year. The inflation rate is 3%.”

The pixel art was nicely done, and the gameplay was simple and intuitive - it did not get in the way of the story.

I thought this was a little uninspired at first, but when I started playing it I realized it plays totally different from the game it is based on! There is so much more control and interactions with the physics system!

If I had one problem, it is that there is no hold time for planets that leave the disk. Often I would have an issue where a lot of planets would combine, and the resulting physics force would catapult one tiny satellite out temporarily, which would lose me the game.

But I still had a lot of fun with this game! Well done! 😄

I liked some of the “main” dialog options, but some of the one-offs were kind of nonsensical. I feel like you may have leaned a bit too hard on AI for those 😅

Still, I pondered some interesting situations! Good job! 🙂

I had so much fun playing this! I’m normally not a huge fan of puzzle platformers (though I made one for this jam 😅), but this one was great! The controls worked well, and the physics of the rope gave just enough leeway to pull some exciting recoveries even from seemingly lost situations! It made me feel quite good to be able to rope myself out of a giant pit where there was seemingly no way out!

The only criticism I have is that on some levels it was not clear where I was supposed to go, and because of the flexibility of the mechanics I could get myself to the edge of the map before realizing the next level trigger was somewhere else. But this is easily fixable!

Overall, this is one of the most fun games I’ve played in this jam! Good job! ☺️

I loved the menu and the intro, the art was so good! 🙂

It was a little awkward to switch between turrets with the number keys, when they were arranged in the grid. Maybe you could rotate them 45° so that they point up, down left and right, and then bind the turrets to WASD or the arrow keys?

In any case I think the gameplay was quite innovative, switching between turrets and the aerial view to get where the enemies are coming from!

First, for anyone who is having issues with only being able to play in a small window, try accessing the embed directly: https://html-classic.itch.zone/html/9220159/index.html

For @Mobsre, I think you need to change the embed window size on Itch.io (does not count as a new build), to 1280x720 or whatever your export size is. That way the screen won’t be cut off to the default of 640x480.

The game itself was quite entertaining! 😄

Fighting enemies was fun, if a little frustrating given the awkward mouse controls. The parkour needed some getting used to too, but I ended up getting through it.

Unfortunately, I was not able to figure out scaling, so I got stuck at the point where it was required.

I have two suggestions: When enemies are invincible, distinguish them visually from others - I spent a while shooting at seemingly invincible enemies in the parkour room. Second, make sure the scaling is well-explained and gate the content, so that the player has to learn it early, and can’t through half of the game without knowing how to scale.

But other than that I think this could be a cool concept, with the enemies bullets flying over your head when you’re small! 😁

I actually kind of like this style of game, so I feel like I can provide some constructive feedback.

First off: The art was very nice! I think utilizing AI here was a great idea! 😄

However, the gameplay felt a bit lacking. For most playthroughs it was impossible to maintain balance, since a faction that came up exactly once in a choice revolted on day 4. So the only choice I had as a player was which faction was going to oust me. If I got lucky enough to get two events that affected two of the same factions, I would be able to maintain balance by increasing them once, and reducing them next time. However, I feel like it really shouldn’t be up to RNG whether the game is survivable past day 4.

I feel like this wouldn’t be that much of a problem if there was a way to quickly restart the game, skipping all animations.

That is not to say the animations are bad, they are actually very nice! It’s just that having the ability to skip them would cut down on the wait time for restarts.

Overall, I see a lot of potential with this game, and it is amazing how much you managed to accomplish in just 30 days! I feel like with a little bit of tweaking (making faction buffs and debuffs have less of an effect, and adding animation skip), this would be an experience I would come back to! 🙂
