Game description
You play as a god forming a cult by influencing your followers. The goal as the game is to grow your cult as large as you can.
Theme interpretation
The scope of the game was supposed to be a lot bigger. I was going to integrate a story with 3 heroes that you're trying to stop by growing your cult. Your cult they are trying to destroy shrouded in mystery. But I ended up only having 1 week instead of the full month so I wasn't quite able to get the elements I wanted or even most of the elements. But I did get at least one of everything.

I like the idea and the themeing. God games are an underexplored genre these days and you've got some good ideas. The start is a bit slow, could probably be a lot faster. But it's clearly got a broad scope and some interesting ideas and I dig the ambition. The 3d assets are nice, I like the statue and goats in particular. The followers could be a little more visible as I often lost track of them. There are some cool ideas here and villagers with this level of AI pathing is pretty impressive in a week.
A pretty complex game with systems that work flawlessly. It feels slow at first when trying to build the first monument, but once it’s done, they just keep coming! I absolutely love the "create cultists" animation. Great job!
I did end up updating the game just to do some hotfixes. The command system wasn't working and the pathfinding was broken. The command system is now working a bit better still not at 100% but you should be able to play now and the pathfinding is fixed
More Hotfixes:
- There was a bug that spawned the statue in the same position all the time, that is now fixed
- There was a bug that caused the UI to render incorrectly on different ratios making some aspects of the game inaccessible, that is now fixed
- There was a bug that didn't turn off the spell, that is now fixed
