lol yeah, I was writing for it but maybe we overscoped a bit so it wasn't able to be completed. I would've liked if we released more of what we made but the decision was made to cut all of the content and just publish it. But there was a bit more hopefully we can share once the game is at a more completed stat

I liked this game I liked the concept of having to die. In the beginning I felt the movement was a little slow and limited but after unlocking some of the movement stuff it felt good. And that the progression of unlocking different areas with those new abilities felt really nice. Cool Game Cool Concept :)
I did end up updating the game just to do some hotfixes. The command system wasn't working and the pathfinding was broken. The command system is now working a bit better still not at 100% but you should be able to play now and the pathfinding is fixed
More Hotfixes:
- There was a bug that spawned the statue in the same position all the time, that is now fixed
- There was a bug that caused the UI to render incorrectly on different ratios making some aspects of the game inaccessible, that is now fixed
- There was a bug that didn't turn off the spell, that is now fixed
I really like the name of the game I thought it was very apt. I don't think I've played an on rail shooter for a game jam I think it's such an unexplored genre in general. I enjoyed this game for that reason, I did think some of the smaller enemies moved a bit too fast and the place where they stopped made it difficult to shoot them once they arrived. But I enjoyed this submission otherwise :)
I feel like this project had a lot of effort put into it. It's pretty cool that you have two different controls inside of it. A few things I would note is the charge time of the cannon. It feels a bit slow. The turning feels good but that charge is a little slow.
I also feel like the fighting is a little clunky, I think something that would help is if the player sort of snapped in the direction of the enemy. But I think this was a cool project especially for a solo submission :O
Yeah lol thank you :)
I only had about half the time because I was finishing up another game jam that ended half way through. And I spent like 3 of the last five days just working on the arm model and then another day working on animations. So I only had about a day to work on the gameplay and level. So I didn't make much variety in the waves. But I am currently working on reworking this game, adding better visuals and stuff so hopefully a bit after the jam voting period ends I'll update with more waves and actual enemies :)
I tried to play this game but all the UI was confusing, I also tried reading the tutorial but it was so text heavy I couldn't really infer what you were supposed to do.
I wish the UI was lighter just showing what you were supposed to press and a lot of the UI elements were so small. I think I did end up killing something or I don't know if that's even the objective of the game. This game was just very confusing to me. I don't think I came close to understanding it.
I was so impressed with the intro and everything and the voice acting. And the style and the animation and everything. The gameplay itself was a little disappointing but bro this submission was so sick. I really really liked that intro so much about it was so cool.
One thing I didn't like about the gameplay itself was the fact that you had a reticle but you shot in the direction you were looking, it kind of made the reticle feel a little useless. But very very cool submission
I thought the game looked cool! I liked the mechanics of the ghost being able to phase through some objects but not everything. I thought that brought an interesting twist and falling through the wooden panels made a lot of sense with the context of the rest of the game.
I did think that the game as a bit too easy and slow. I know puzzles games are difficult to balance just because you can't really playtest them yourself so I appreciate maybe leaning on the side of easier but for me it didn't bring a lot of challenge. But I still thought the submission was cool. Wish it was a tad bit faster though.
It was cool that you implemented a story in the game that's pretty cool. I'm not a big fan of tank controls in general I think it's very hard to control. but I did eventually get up to the 0th floor and there were just soo many enemies I wasn't able to get all the way through. But it was very cool. Also, I'm unsure where the bullet or raycast was starting from because there were a couple times when I thought that I should've been hitting an enemy but it just wasn't.
But still a cool solo project to go through.
Yeah there is this bug with the shooting, I believe it has something to do with how I set up the animations for the firing. I think if you are able to let go of fire and if your quick enough start firing another charge, it will not fire the previous charge. But thank you I appreciate it! Yeah the sound and UI definitely need some work
Yeah sound is a huge thing I think it's missing. Thanks! I think the reason it was randomly turning right for you and this is just a guess. is because you might have had a controller connected and the stick was pushed weirdly. That's the only reason I think it could be happening but if not then it's a bug and I have to look into i
I really enjoyed the game, but I will say a thing I really enjoy about tower defense games is that you fill up the entire map with these towers and you just see a bunch of things flying around the screen and enemies moving. And I felt that the beginning levels felt like they were just about to reach that point and then the level ended.
I would've liked if you stretched out the beginning levels a bit more so we could get to that point but it was fun. Also I couldn't finish. Half way through I died in a level because I bough a lazer thing in the beginning and it didn't kill anything and I just died and then when I hit retry the game just didn't start.
Small bug but maybe you could look into it. I know when I had this bug in the past, it had to do with me not unsubscribing to events after they're destroyed but I don't know how you coded your game but that may be a place to look at if you did use events.
Thank you! I appreciate it. yeah, the plan was for the game to be more polished but I had never created a 3D asset for a game either and the arms ended up taking like 3 days to finish with animations and all. And I started the jam half way through because I finishing up a different project.
I'm thinking about going back and touching a few things up. But I appreciate you playing :)
