This was a really cute concept. With more time on development, I could see it being a super fun game.
Good game! Especially loved the art. However I think... y'all might have spent a little too much time on levels and art as compared to gameplay. It could definitely be improved upon.
If you don't mind, could you check out my game?
From what I played, I feel this was on the onset of being a fun experience with a goofy concept. Unfortunately, it doesn't hit the mark. Knowing the developers were unable to address major bugs with their games, it's a shame this demo didn't turn out the way they wanted it too.
I will comment on other features. Although the art direction is simple, the flat-tone low-poly aesthetic works for the game jam and the type of game this is meant to be. The warm colour scheme is soothing and easy on the eyes, and the daycare layout is organised and spaced out evenly. The title screen is great too!
Despite the faults, I can see what the developers wanted to make and where the care was given in its presentation. I wish them luck on their next game jam and hope things run smoother!
Unfortunately, we weren't able to fix several major bugs that make the game mostly unplayable:
We hope you can excuse the major bugs and get an idea of what we originally intended this game to be. Enjoy!

I couldn't make grab work so I couldn't really play but it was never the less a cute little game with some very interesting footwork and charming little sound effects!
While I'm fully aware of how incomplete some of the functionality is (pausing the game doesn't actually pause the game, baby AI seems inert a lot of the time what with them running into walls a lot and clipping into objects and I'm unable to select any option from the "win" menu), I can't help but admire the game for what it's trying to do :)
I really love the art style and how it clashes against the whole "protect the babies from themselves" idea which I also find morbidly hilarious. I can genuinely picture lets players on YT descending into a panic as they run around the day care trying to prevent catastrophe or even causing it themselves for a laugh. Don't give up on this idea!
I liked day 1 nad then I got stuck on the menu. I think the art style is lovely and clean and I was just starting to get to grips with how the grab worked. I feels like the beginning of a good thing.
Due to the game's main systems being very bugged at submission, the game is currently in an unplayable state.
We hope you return after the Polish/Bug-Fixing phase to enjoy the intended experience! All of the content is fully created, and the game should be quite enjoyable when it works.

I'll be mindful to play again in a foreseeable future, and potentially adjust ratings accordingly. In spite of it's unplayable mess, I feel that if nothing else, this game nailed the concept of "Every Life Counts" down to a mostly visible tee. I mean, until the 'buggy' nature of the game was revealed, seeing an intro scene of in-gameplay footage of toddlers suddenly playing with... not!knives, but shovels? Pretty much set the scene to a lovely fitting nightmare, of a theme. :)
