Nice game! Was funny to play. It was a bit annoying that I can also be attacked when I was in the shop. It didn't provide me much time to check what you can find there. I recommend to pause the game when you are in the shop.

Nice and actiony! ... just add some juice and this is fire!

Must fix: add pause on shop ... unless the idea is to buy fast, in that case, the purchases have to be easier to see and to decide on.

Developer

Yeah, I was planning for the next wave timer to stop while you're in the store but ran out of time. When the voting period ends, some of these fixes will be applied in a patch

Nice little arena shooter !

I like that enemies turn red just before they hit you, it gives a player  a hint and time    to dodge.  Also I like that you made shops, but   it'd be  better to pause  the game while shopping, i  got  killed that way  :)

I was defeated on wave 3.

A pretty decent arena shooter with some small bugs and annoyances. Shopping while the enemy is shooting at you is not the best experience, especially if half of the dropped money lands outside the world bounds. The random weapon shopping is an interesting idea, but coupled with the lack of ammo is not much fun. The uzi feels weak even if the aiming perk is on. The rocket launcher with the infinitely flying rockets is not bad, but it has too few ammo. It seems restarting the game somehow keeps the number of roombas to be generated, so the first wave sometimes can have dozens of them. After an hour of playing and dying again on wave 12 because the shops were overwhelmed by enemies, and even if I had money, it wasn't enough to buy a new weapon just to refill my ammo, I finally gave up. The artwork is adorable, but a little bit bleak. The music and sounds are fitting. Overall it was a fun game, but needs a lot of fixes.

Thanks for you feedback and review. Yeah it came out a bit rushed at the end and barely any playtesting was done to address some issues like the ones you had. When the voting time is over, it will get updated to fix some of its gameplay flaws.

Nice work! It is a shame about your build, I think especially for a jam game you want to show off your features quickly so more money would have helped. However I still think you have made an interesting game, the spinning when they miss you was a nice touch.

Developer

Thanks. Was too preoccupied by adding a tutorial at the last second and I forgot to increase the money generation back to its original value

I like the clearly laid out instructions in the beginning explaining how everything works. Gameplay seemed pretty smooth. The level could use some obstacles/scenery.

FYI audio seems to work fine in Chrome on my Macbook (song has slight background static but might be intended).

Developer

Thanks for you feedback. Obstacles like walls and the like were considered during the early stages of the game but were dropped due to pathfinding for enemies being difficult to implement. Maybe they will be added in a more updated version of the game.
