Woah crazy fast. I had to play a few times to make it to level 2, and level 2 is even more chaos. Good job on this fast and fun arcady game. I was a little confused if something was a pickup or an enemy bullet.
GREAT GAME!!
Really cool game 👍
found it difficult to aim at the enemy but i like the game
Good game for first :D.
just i think it will be even more, if the player rotates to face player cursor for easier aiming and it will also make the freeze more useful cuz players can aim and kill much faster.
and the menu i think you should make the text darker when hovering to make it readable,
also i think it would be nice to limit the number of enemy that can be spawned to make the player not be overwhelmed.
lastly just a question :D did you put that Development Console at the bottom? this too is my first jam so i didnt encounter this b4.
Pretty cool for your first game jam entry. I'll say the difficulty could of been toned down a little, especially at the beginning. I retried a few times and I was barely able to kill anything. I think you should have made the projectiles fire in the direction the mouse was pointing in instead of the direction of the ship. Or zoomed out a little, given a bit more manoeuvre space for the player so that the game was closer to asteroids. Nice addition of the freeze time feature.
This was a little too frustrating to make any progress for me. Would have been better to gradually introduce enemy types, instead of just a barrage on the first level. Shooting in only in the direction of movement is an interesting mechanic, but the sheer number of enemies and bullets makes it feel impossible to actually get ahead when you have to fly back into the bullets to even get a hit on an enemy!
There was also a weird bug where I tried playing the Til the end mode, and then any time I play either mode after that all the time is sped up to a ridiculous degree haha. With some tweaks to the enemy count this has potential though, so nice work!
Cool idea, I couldnt pass first level. I would suggest to not set pushable ennemies, when in time stop, it feels strange to push them when we shoot on them.
I really like the idea here, being able to pause time but continue moving around yourself creates a very unique twist on a top-down shooter. Like other's mentioned, I struggled with the shooting. Having to face the direction to shoot with the movement keys felt clunky, since it would usually have you moving in the direction before shooting when all you wanted to do was turn. But with a little more fine-tuning to the controls, I think the concept could go pretty far. Nicely done!
game has potential, the dash is smooth, the mechanics of the game seems solid, however the controls could be better, it was a bit difficult to shoot as previously mentioned, and the first level became very challenging, if that could be improved upon, i think this game could flourish
Nice
Hi!
The development console in production is cool! You can debug right away :D, it made me very happy).
The exit button for a browser game seems superfluous, but I understand that the game was developed on Unity, so for operating systems it is absolutely necessary an exit button, but for a browser game ..., I don't even know if there is such a possibility to programmatically close the browser tab :).
Regarding the game itself, I did not have enough information about the controls, it would be good to have such a tab with information as for me in the menu list.
I loved the Spacebar acceleration mechanic! But it seems that sometimes there is some kind of teleportation of me, maybe due to the fact that during acceleration I am left in place, or something else.
Shooting is extremely difficult), I understand that I can only shoot from one vertex of the triangle, while my opponents seem to shoot even homing bullets (green) :D.
Maybe if I added the acceleration of my bullets, since they seem to be slower than the opponents bullets, the odds would be evened out a bit. Or give the opportunity to shoot from each vertex of the triangle.
Because now I couldn't pass even the first level :), I guess that if I killed all the opponents, the door behind the red line would open and I would go further, but the game design turned out to be difficult for me
The map looks cool!
Overall a good game! Graphics of primitives is strong! I used this myself :). So how about me - balance the game's complexity a little, figure out the player's jerk/teleport, or if it's intended to be so, then describe it somewhere as a feature, add a controls guide and you can play!
Good luck!
P.S.
I saw your description under the game and using the time stop I was able to pass the first level! But it's still challenging, but also fun).
