I had fun with this game, I liked controlling 2 characters and finding weapons/armor and leveling up!  Loved that you did procedural dungeons! It wasn't clear to me how I was losing health, and I was confused about whether I was progressing to a new level or dying and starting over.  But overall I enjoyed it and great work!

Developer

Thanks a lot.

You are losing health when too far away from your girl (light char), and you will regain health if both of you are close.

When you die, you will respawn to the previous level.  Your objective is to reach the "stairs of light" together.

Web-version has 3 levels, and the downloaded version has 7 levels.

Nicely done. Love the lighting.

Thanks :)

The way the enemies get the loved one and then the fighter needs to rescue them is so unique! It creates an interesting dynamic that I have never seen.

Developer

thanks a lot :)

Great game. nice Dungeon generation and mechanic. Sadly, in the third level, my fighter stopped hitting things. the Blades had vanished around him. No idea why.

Playing it alone is a lot of coordination. Great submission.

Developer

thanks, I'm sorry for the bug, I'll check that out tonight.

Good job on the dungeon generation! Really original, and what a sweet ending. Amazing how many features you were able to implement.

Thanks :)

Nice game idea! I really like what you put together. I did run into an issue that when i picked up an item and my light character was stolen I could no longer move. Even after respawn...

Developer(+1)

yes, that is a bug created when fixing another bug. But I've fixed that 'not moving' bug. Do you mind if you try and play the game again? Thanks a lot

It works now! Wow that ending was really touching! I found my light being stolen a little bit to often maybe a few less enemies or that they don't immediately snatch her away but have to be on her for a few seconds?

Developer

nice idea. I will implement that on the next bugfix iteration. Thanks :)

Is it intended that I couldn't use the keyboard at all (except for "P"ause) in the Web version, and that one gamepad stick had inverted directions?

(Firefox on Linux)

Developer

no, it's not. Honestly, I haven't tested my game on Linux, I just built it by default. The game is intended to be played with AWSD + arrow keys OR both of the gamepad joystick with normal direction. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll try to build the patch/fix tonight. Thanks for the info :)

Well, the Linux version runs. Moving with keyboard works. On the gamepad only the left stick works for the white character. As soon as I used the gamepad, keyboard inputs stop working...

Developer(+1)

ok, thx for the info. will fix it tonight. thanks for your patience.
