Looks great! The fun steering mechanic combined with the music made it feel really relaxing and I just lost track of time while playing it. It reminds me a bit of the flash games from the 2010s :D

I got him in 3 resurrections. It's really high-paced, but that's what makes it so much fun!

This game is amazing! Animations and controls are so smooth. Using the arrow keys to combine items was a great idea and really well implemented. I liked the intro and transition to the main menu, the little crow next to the stall, the little text bubbles under your clients, etc. Great attention to detail :D

The art looks amazing. It's easy to grasp and there is potential for a looot of different strategies if you add more units. So nice job!

One thing I noticed is that I sometimes missed an enemy knight by a couple of pixels if I eyeballed it wrong. So maybe having a grid-based spawn area could help avoid that.

I really liked the vibe of the game, you nailed the tense atmosphere. The music going slower each level was a very nice touch.

The art and sounds just fit together perfectly. Great work on the aesthetic! You did really well for a first game jam, there's a lot of potential in this idea!

(1 edit)

The controls were very smooth. Good job on the procedural generation, works really well for this game. I had my headphones on, the whispers when the phoenix is nearby were a nice unexpected touch :D I would have maybe liked a larger beacon for the soul, that way you could spot it from a distance and vaguely know where to go, but you'll still have to figure out how to get there through the maze. Good game!

I totally understand the rushed parts, sorry for your loss. You made a really good game in the time you had, I liked the UI and the cards looked great. It took me a while to get used to the mechanics, the detailed description really helped. It's a nice change of pace to see a card game in the submissions.

Sometimes I would get dry spells without either feeding or planet cards, but I think that can be balanced out when you add more cards. So if you end up coming back to this and finishing it up, I'll definitely play it

Very original, I tried finding all the different endings, loved all the rewards. I would definitely play a more extended version with more levels. Great Idea, great execution!

Nice game, good choice of assets! The controls are very smooth and easy to use, sniping an enemy from real far is really satisfying. So good job!

My feedback is to maybe make it a bit more forgiving, I sometimes get swarmed by 2/3 enemies, and dying in 1 hit makes it impossible to get out of that situation.

Original idea, good job for your first game jam.

Everything from music to art fits together perfectly! The car turned faster than I expected, but I got used to it pretty quickly. One thing I missed was being able to move around while in the air, feels like it would fit the arcadey vibe. Great game, I'll probably go back and play it again in a few minutes.

Good job on the dungeon generation! Really original, and what a sweet ending. Amazing how many features you were able to implement.

Great level design, I like that you went for the isometric style, it looks really clean and you have a lot of space to move around while still having some obstacles. The controls are smooth and easy to get used to.

My small feedback would be to make the attack radius a bit bigger, a lot of times I couldn't hit an enemy without being hit myself. Totally understand that work and family life take up a lot of time, so really great job on sticking through and getting a game out!

Great submission. I like the main gun mechanics, the most satisfying part was grouping enemies together and then killing them all in one shot. The camera shake is a really nice touch, those little details really add to the aesthetic of the game.

My 2 cents if want to continue working on this: Maybe make it a tiny bit more forgiving like dying from 2 hits instead of 1. Also, I don't really use the machine gun that much, a whacky alternative could be something like a bomb or a grenade that you can also pick up by killing minions.

Anyway, I played like 3 extra games while writing this comment, so good job!

It was a bit confusing at first but then I got the hang of it. Cool idea, I liked that you used your own art!

Nice job, especially for a first game. Found a little bug, an enemy ca only hit me once and then just stays inside me. Only found out about it because I wanted to see what happens when I die, so it's not really noticeable. Great job!

I put everything in firerate, totally worth it. Nice game loop, I wanted to keep going until I maxed out everything.

Level design was on point. Great job having a short easy level for each new mechanic before throwing you into a more difficult puzzle. Only critique I have is that the moving blocks can be a little more snappy, I would move a block a bit too far and I couldn't squeeze between them. Otherwise, great concept AND execution!

Great idea, love the little ghost. Dialogues were on point, especially the creepy pit flame guy, he's my fave :))

The lighting blew my mind. Great level design, it was engaging all the way until the end and I wanted mooore. Everything just fits together perfectly!

Straight up masterpiece. Animations were really fun, really impressed that you managed to make it all by yourself in 10 days.

Great music and sounds. Love the art style, very adorable and nice lighting! Only comment would be that I would like a bit more control in swapping my abilities. But all in all, loved it :D

Great idea, nice choice of models. Very cool that you made it in 3D, makes it stand out. I liked the level design :D

Amazing art and sound design! Love how it breaks the 4th wall and how the story was written. Controls were really responsive so it was easy to get used to. Great job!
