I like the art style and the mechanic of leaving a bridge behind when you die, very nice. It would work better with some more obstacles and enemies, or different hazards to try and pass.
Is there a way to attack? I think death should have an attack so that knight can't kill him.
I think one of the collisions was a bit off on a platform, I landed near the edge, but not over the edge, and fell down anyway.
Good work on your submission.
Nice game with a great mechanic idea! I found the jump a little clumpsy, but the game still great. Congrats!
What a cool mechanic! I will just bridge my way to victory!
Main concept of creating new stuff every time is awesome!
Collisions on the other hand are not so precise and where is the music amigo?
A neat little game you made! Making real platforms on death is really clever. Although I did feel like they were a little bit too big :D The hitboxes were quite unforgiving jumping over knights was really though! Are you supposed to be able to "climb" platforms by jumping really fast? °^^ I enjoyed the art!
Thank you for your feedback! We had a moment of sheer panic at the last minute where the jump hadn't been properly tuned to a full screen experience and so the platforms, collision, jump height etc all need some tuning still. I'm glad you enjoyed the artwork and the concept!
Cute pixel art. I liked the idea that your death leaves behind a platform to help when you next respawn. Collisions and jumping did feel a bit rough though and could benefit with adding some music and sfx. Good job though. Congrats on a successful game jam!
I agree that adding some element of audio would be great! If I had another day of work I think that's where I would have put it. Thank you for your feedback!
I liked that as you go on in the levels you have experiment with finding the best route and that there could be multiple pathways to get there! As ED mentioned below, the collisions might need a bit of tweaking, but over all it was fun to explore and find the goal. I liked the sprite art too :)
I'm glad you enjoyed the exploratory aspects of it! Collision is definitely my nemesis in this project it seems haha. I'm glad you enjoyed the artwork! Thank you for rating/feedback ^_^
Congratz on your submission!
I did find the collisions a bit off and the controls weren't very responsive. Also very frequent in levels I would need a leap of faith just to realize I needed a platform higher. But this is a gamejam, it's expected to not being perfect. Also the idea of leaving platforms when you die and adding a limit to these extra platforms to reach the end of the level was really good.
Thank you! We're definitely very pleased with the idea overall. I definitely get what you're saying about the lack of visibility, and it's definitely something that was hard to test for when you already know the paths.
