Very well polished. Very nice menus, scene transitions and intro cutscene. The button prompts are also an excellent usability touch. Nice work!

That's a fun mechanic! Controls work well. The AI and pathfinding seemed to be working a treat. Great job especially in such a short time!

A fun and quite challenging platformer. Mid level checkpoints are good, although some levels made me with for some additional checkpoints where there were multiple challenging sections in a row. Aside from some grounding issues when close to an edge, the movement feels quite good! Nice work!

Thank you for playing! Yes it's my first attempt at a game jam and I spent a bit too much time focused on the look and feel but ran out of time to complete the actual game loop and expanding the world. But I love your idea of making it a more relaxed experience like A Short Hike.

Wow! What an amazing game from start to finish! The music, art, animation, mechanic, everything. Beautiful choice in music which really sets the tone right from the main menu. Nice smooth transitions between scenes. The dithered lighting effect around the character is also a very nice touch. You even managed to have a surprising number of levels in there. An incredibly polished experience. Congratulations to your team on a job well done. I'm blown away!

I like the cute little ghost's animations. The ideas for using the crystals to complete the levels and the dialog with the NPCs are good. The platforming feels a bit slippery and the air movement makes some jumps a bit tricky. The camera also gave some trouble in some levels as it was hard to see what was ahead of you or below you in some areas. The crystals should probably be multi use rather than single use, as they were not obvious how to use each one of them and having to restart the level after spending your only crystal and being stuck in a hole was a bit frustrating. Some nice ideas here though that could definitely be refined. Nice work!

Nice Cluedo inspired take on the theme. Cool concept. Nice work!

Fun idea. Nice feel with the side scrolling and jumping. Some nice art and music too. The keyboard control mappings were a bit tricky as I see other people have commented too. Good work!

Cute pixel art. I liked the idea that your death leaves behind a platform to help when you next respawn. Collisions and jumping did feel a bit rough though and could benefit with adding some music and sfx. Good job though. Congrats on a successful game jam!

Wow this really impressed me. Beautiful art, music and sfx. Loved the concept and story which fit the theme perfectly. My only issues were that buying recipes required changing hand from keyboard over to mouse, and it also felt like guess work to figure out what recipes the customers wanted, so I'd just make random things to see what they would take. Apart from that though, fantastic job!

Loved the choice of music and sfx. Fun game and liked the sense of humor. Nice idea for the transition between levels. Also every game should end with pictures of doggo's. Some bugs and rough edges, but hey, it's a game jam we all have those haha. Nice work! :)

Fun concept and I liked the sense of humor. Some nice assets there too. Had some framerate issues and that camera unfortunately had a mind of it's own and I struggled to control it. All up though, nice work on the game jam!

Yes I just ran out of time to unfortunately. Some great ideas, thanks! Could even go a "Monsters Inc" route and make the objective scaring the children while avoiding the adults. Thanks for playing!

Yes, I had originally wanted to use the throwables either for scaring or distracting (possibly added a stealth element), but never got there. One day maybe. Thanks for playing! :)

Very moody and spooky. Some nice transitions in the menus. A bit frustrating losing all progress when the enemy catches you - seems very hard to avoid them. Game download is also a bit of a whopper because of the included source. Maybe split the source and binaries apart to lower barrier of entry. Nice work.

Love the art. Some Hollow Knight influence here? The intro cutscene was very nice, and also a nice parallax effect with the foreground and background, though the foreground pillars get a little in the way at times. The button prompts are also a nice touch. The platforming is a bit heavy and gets stuck on the sides of some platforms. The camera needs some tweaking too - it was hard to see what was in front of you (and below you when traversing those first few jumps). And getting ganked by multiple enemies which take multiple hits so close to the start felt a little too punishing. A very impressive game though. Well done! Good luck on the future development.

Very nice puzzle platformer. Like others have said, some janky physics at times, but it's all part of the fun right? ;) Nice work!

Nice art design and color palette. Spectro (aka. Draggy Dog) is very cute. Nice lighting effect. Enjoyed reading your dev log too. Scored 102/159 ;)

Reading the story on your game page, I feel your pain as I'm sure everyone else in this game jam also does. Well done on getting something submitted regardless. Nice menus and art. I like the game concept. Enjoyed the music, though I wish it had continued into the game. Nice job!

Nice Vampire Survivors-like. Could do with some background music and perhaps more meaty sounds. Like others have suggested, holding the mouse button rather than clicks would be good in future. Overall though, nice work!

Platforming feels quite slow and heavy. Volume settings in pause menu don't seem to be working. Very impressed that you made all your own assets! Interesting death mechanic that fits theme well. Nice subtle lighting effect and parallax background. Great work!

Fun! The game has a great sense of humor and the puzzles are well thought out. I got stuck a few puzzles into it but it felt like it was because of a glitch where the box monster was getting stuck on a trap door door instead of going across it. The Windows build could do with a way to quit cleanly. Other than that, Excellent work! I loved it.

Thanks for playing! Yes, unfortunately I ran out of time to implement damage to player and to enemies. Would also have liked to have made the world a bit bigger. Next time!

Nice animations in menus and in game. Fun mechanic. Controls were a bit awkward though, would have been good to have mouse clicks work for selecting ingredients. Also no pause ability and couldn't quit from the game cleanly. Overall though nice work!

Fun! I love the idea. Nice art and music. Cool mechanic with the skeletons.

Love the art and lighting effect. Platforming feels solid. Text on main menu was quite hard to read. Key mappings were not obvious and thought the fireball didn't work initially. Having to force die at every obstacle did get frustrating though. Still, very nice work!

Love the mechanic and the smooth jazz. Took me a while to figure out I needed to press space to progress the dialog at the start, and took me a couple of deaths to work out exactly what I needed to do, but still had fun. Great work!
