Very Very Cool. Unfortunately, my potato of a pc could only run this refrigerator of a game at around 15 frames per second though I very much did enjoy it. The style is great along with the visuals and atmosphere. I'll probably come back to this one after picking up a new graphics card or getting a new computer :D

Fantastic work!

This was fantastic. The art style was stunning to look at and it was nice to see some solid combat mechanics in there with a progression system. Great stuff.

Awesome art style and overall feel. Well polished, except for combat where attacking has some issues. I think some knockback effect would feel great and it will solve most of those problems. Dashing was weird sometimes too, at least in mid-air. But overall, it's really great, I can see so much effort put into this.

Goes without saying the art style is beautiful. I couldn't figure out how to get the next wave started because when I finished the first wave, the only thing I could do was go into the portal that took me to the title screen. Still though, having procedurally generated levels with randomized powerups (essentially making a roguelike) is incredibly ambitious for a game jam and the final package came across as very polished. Great job with this!

thank you! Your game is amazing too!

Artstyle is something in this game, good job! I like the gaining ability function.

Fighting seams off and enemies get stick-ed to you without any effect of receiving damage. Also, my mouse pointer kept showing up from time to time.

Thanks! Working on the ability scalign was a very tedious part of the development given how quick everything was but I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

Just checkedout your game and the soundtrack was a really nice aspect of the game as it provided me with a look into hwo the protag felt before they eve spoke.

Please leave that comment on my game page and rate it, thanks :)

Pretty interesting concept, the artstyle in really unique and the whole world is bizzare, but its does get laggy even on my beefy laptop, and everything its quite confusing

I try not to curse so much these days, but HOLY F***ING S**T what is even going on here?
you guys did CONCEPT ART for your game?! wow. just WOW.
I don't have to tell you how fantastic the game looks - not just the shader, but the level design as well.
i also really like the roguelike elements, though the combat does not feel responsive enough yet. there should be some kind of reaction when you hit an enemy and vice versa, but I feel positive you will get there (something tells me you will keep working on it...)
last point: i didn't fully understand if the differences between the 2 dimensions is only visual or if there are mechanical differences as well... because there should be.

despite my nitpicking: awesome entry, I'm glad I found some space on my harddrive for it.

Thank you so much for playing. We will definitely have to improve the gameplay if we work on in further. all the best to you and your game. 💖

thank you so much for your kind words (kindman)!! yes I pushed Habin pretty hard to perfect the shader visuals and I'm glad he put up with my opinions. everyone worked really hard to combine the different aspects but your nitpicking isn't in the wrong since fine-tuning combat & enemy types and expanding on the narrative to tie it with the game is definitely something we would have iterated on if we had the time to do so!

Someone put much work for a game jam, kudos!!!

Looks amazing! Very stylized, beautiful models and very meaningful aesthetic design. If I was to give any criticism, I would say that the movement controls don't feel quite right and the animations could show more feedback. I love the choice of font and music. The "ink shader" gets the job done well but I think it's using more system resources than it could. Also the menu background looks amazing.

Developer

Thanks 👍.

Hey Everyone,

Our team had an awesome time making this game. The ink shader is a custom made shader just for this game, as well as all the 2D art. I hope you enjoy playing and please leave any feedback that you have!

Hope to play all of you games as well, Habin
