Wow! This is the best tower defense game, and one my overall favorites in the jam! It's got awesome visuals, cool music and sound effects, and even upgrades for the tower!! Very polished for a 10-day jam. Oh, and it was really smart how you fit the theme by having the player manage both the glooples and plooples :D
I can't think of any significant feedback. A minor thing is some UI doesn't show up well if you're not in fullscreen in the WebGL build. But that doesn't matter. I'd love to play a longer version of this, especially if you introduce some sort of storyline!
It's a solid entry, although it's difficult to make a good horror game in a jam. Good use of sounds and the monster design is pretty cool, especially if you did that on your own.
I was a bit confused about what to do, but apparently you win by surviving enough times in the dream world. The flashlight didn't seem to affect the gameplay that much, I was able to get around without it as well. I expected it would affect the monster in some way, as the note said. But all in all, it's a good job!
Congrats on your first jam! It's not easy making a first submission, let alone a solid one like this. I love the art and the atmosphere you built with it. The dialogue did well in setting the tone for the story, but it ended up being quite confusing. I know the time limit didn't help, but I'd love to see this expanded on after the jam.
Nice little space shooter! The intro and the story are cool, and the mechanics are solid. I didn't like the smooth movement as much, but it added difficulty to the game so maybe it's good to keep it. One thing I would've loved is an option to skip dialogue, at least after your first run. Solid effort!
I always love this low-res effect in horror games, it adds to the atmosphere somehow. I was surprised you could just fill the gas and go xD But I was a bit disappointed with the ending, I almost wished for just the classic back-of-the-car jumpscare. Great job anyway, it has the potential to be a good horror game!
This felt like the start of something really great! Sadly I got stuck in the conversation with AL and his shop seemed necessary to advance in the game. Similar to the first comment, 1-8 keys didn't do anything for me. But, the lighting looks phenomenal and I like the top-down view. The music was cool too. It's really impressive work for just one person!
Let me know if there is a fix for that, I'll gladly replay this again!
The idea is solid! I loved that the souls you help in the real world actually go back to the soul world!
I have some feedback for you. The way the camera moves out of an obstacle's way is too aggressive. If you're using cinemachine try bringing down those settings. The last quest seems broken as was mentioned in other comments. And lastly, some sound effects would be great! Overall, you did a good job :D
Very neat take on the theme! It is a bit rage-inducing, not gonna lie xD but in a good way. I didn't know I could shoot for a long time though and that made the game a lot easier. I'm at fault because I didn't read the game description but a little screen to show the controls in-game could be a great addition!
Your game is the second one to take Conway's GoL as a reference. But this one is really unique. I can't begin to guess what kind of rules are used and how it ties to the sounds. Very cool! My only complaint, considering this as a jam entry, is its lack of introduction to the interface. It feels like a lot is thrown your way at once and it can be overwhelming!
This gives strong Emily Is Away vibes. I love this style of storytelling, and your story seemed to be taking a cool direction. However it's too short even for the jam, it barely felt like an introduction for me. Some of the text on the right side goes beyond the screen occasionally, and the UI can do with some polishing!
Good effort! I didn't rage as much. Once I got used to movement and jumping, I was able to go very far without taking damage.
The jumping is a bit weird, if you jump too soon when you start moving, you don't go as far. But if you're going for a rage game, then it works :D
Also, the player collider might be a bit too low, sometimes I felt I didn't even touch the lava and I took damage. Occasionally, touching the lava skyrockets you up in the sky, it was fun so I'd consider it a feature xD And music and sound would be an awesome addition!
