Not bad!
This is amazing, so cool to see similar idea to mine, but taken to such a different and great place. I love the writing, models and animations, exptremely satisfying. I think the near-plane clipping needs some more thought, and maybe frid-base movement to make this more puzzly and less platformy, but I am seriously enjoying this (not done yet but wanted to rate before time runs out ).
One super minor thing I would change, is add the ability to click to show all text at once during dialogues.
I like nice level design and the mechanic of switching camera view. Visual style is cool too, reminded me of the old windows screensaver xD Btw, it was difficult to get used to the fact that the spacebar is not for jumping.
Really brilliant design! It took me a while to get the hang of things and not accidentally jump into the void, since sometimes W was up and sometimes it was jump. I did get to the point of being able to move and switch perspectives at the same time, rounding corners like a proper citizen of three dimensional environments.
The look is great, the mechanics are phenomenal. The main character is a little too chatty. The ending was fabulous; after the pipes I, too, was ready to surrender myself to the embrace of the labyrinth.
Different music for different levels would have been nice, but as you made it yourself I can't complain about the variety.
Very nice, i felt like i was back in an old screensaver 😅. I love the idea, and the attention to the details like different sounds when walking or landing. The tutorial was done through gameplay which is a big bonus. Changing dimensions with space really made me understand how ingrained it is for jump. Overall I think it was a great take on life in two dimensions, good job!
Nice polished experience!
Very fun, the sounds and the music make the game way better. Very well mechanic and well implemented the theme. Good Job!
An Absolutely wild ride, this felt like it was a strange pc game I found at a yard sale and popped it into the family windows 95 I used to have when I was a lad. Theme, Aesthetics, Story and mechanics are all on point. Fantastic Job!
I absolutely loved the character design. Very silly looking, and the upper society feel of them is just so funny. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did, but there's definitely something in it that make you want to continue and complete the level.
A minor complaint is the changing dimensions with space - I think I'm so used to jumping with space, I kept falling to my death.
That aside, great job!
Edit: I forgot to mention the sound design - loved it! I felt like the little dude was just walking away on those pipes.
Oh no such a sad ending... :/
Seriously good game and worked perfectly with the theme!
Few pointers that I found a tad annoying + a bonus compliment:
1) The text was a bit slow sometimes, the cutscenes took ages (well not too long to quit the game, but just a bit to start wondering when does the next text come, I've already read this multiple times)
2) The pipes were very very slippery sometimes. Especially on the last level the blue single one you have to go from the start, it kept dropping me... :D
3) Maybe adding a checkpoint to the keys, because after getting a key and falling (especially on the last level), I did it few times and on the last one I promised myself this is the last try or I'll quit :D Thankfully I made it though.
4) LOVED the character, the posh accent and the animations and the overall vibe of the game, with the music! Got a bit of Rayman feeling from the eyes (Raymans mate, can't remember what it was called).
Took a while to get used to the mechanic of changing views and few times made the mistake of trying to jump with space and plummeting to my demise, but after a few times, I made sure not to press space while jumping :D
Fun game! I like the visuals although some issues were that the text could have been faster. Also the walking sound was very loud and the jump happend a bit after you pressed the button. However these are only small issues and the game is very fun and the idea is very interesting, good job :)
