I thought the gameplay looked and felt immersive, and I really liked the western theme, really nice job on the game!
Thank you ^_^
I followed your instructions in a previous comment and was able to start the game, it was fun!
I do feel like you should only have to shoot each thing once to knock it down, it would feel more satisfying. Then maybe just speed up the pace along the "track" if you feel like it needs to be harder?
The other thing I noticed is that after emptying the gun, when I was frustration clicking waiting for it to reload, it would restart the reload process every time I'd click and wouldn't ever actually reload until I stopped clicking.
Thanks for the feedback!
I didn't get to finish a lot of what I wanted to do in time. It's supposed to stop at certain spots to give you a certain amount of time to shoot the aliens. The multiple hit aspect is to add to the idea that to attain a high score, it requires accurate shooting and preemptively aiming while it reloads. Yeah, I have to fix that reload bug ^_^' haha. And I needed to add the bullets not existing in the cylinder to show how many bullets were left.
Hi, I managed to play your game.
It seems like a simple "on rails" shooter, like the old arcade shooters like Time Crisis I think it was. If only I had a Light Gun for my Laptop.
The art style is nice, and the audio is pretty tidy. I liked the sound effect of reloading your weapon. It looked like there is still some work to do on this though.
Nice game.
Thank you! Definitely. I was learning as I went along with this. There aren't many tutorials or resources out there for the type of on rails shooter I was trying to make. Some of the research I followed was outdated or functioned differently.
It looks like you got most of it, from what I remember of playing such games in an arcade.
The only real difference was in the arcade games you would normally move from cover to cover and go behind cover to dodge enemy fire / reload, and the camera would be a bit more dynamic, looking in different directions as the game progressed.
could not get past the title screen
Sorry about that. I think the text may overlap the button and you may have to click the side of the button.
