Wow very impressive project especially the visuals and art style! I struggled at first with the different bot types but I enjoyed learning how to be better at the game by playing it more. Really unique experience!

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the game

Neat game, was still kinda confused after reading the help me, but I managed to get through it by spamming 1,2,3,4,5 :D

You've definitely got a style going on with the art which looks nice.

Nice job

Developer(+1)

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the art style.

The idea is interesting, but it confused me a bit to be honest. There are some things that i'd like to mention.

The tutorial/ help screen: It's just too much text, it's usually better not to fill the entire screen with it, but to instead divide it into smaller sections. In example the section where you show the 1-5 keys is so crammed in there that you could not fit all of them in a single column, the 5 was on the top row to the right instead.
The objectives texts could also be separated into their own screen, and also it seems to mix story and objectives. Keep in mind this is what shows the player how to play, and you'd want it to be as clear as possible because you know how to play your game, but players don't until they go trhough this and try for themselves.

One last thing about the text, the font. H and K (also S and 5) look way too similar to eachother and this could cause users with smaller screens to having issues reading the texts properly.

The rest of the game is fine, but for me at least it looks too confusing, and since you don't have much time to react it ends up being a bit of trial and error. I don't think i've selected the proper thing even once, or maybe i did but didn't notice (obviously player skill affects this too), but here comes my next point: player feedback, something that tells you if you did it right or not. It can be a visual effect, a sound, a small text even.

It's not a bad game by any means, but the tutorial needs some work, specially since it's a type of game where you have to counter enemy actions in a short time period. The laser is pretty obvious when the enemy shoots it, but i've yet to understand what every icon of the enemy represent, and which is the appropiate counter for it.

Cheers, and i hope this helps. ;)

Thanks for the feedback. learned a lot here

You're welcome, sorry for the wall of text though. :D

Interesting idea, I liked the idea of each bot having it's own functionality, though got a bit confused when trying to differentiate them during gameplay. Well done though!

Developer

Thanks for playing.

Lovely art in a tricksy stategy game. I paniced and kept pressign the wrong keys :)

Developer

Glad you enjoyed. thanks for playing

I really like the aesthetics and story setup for your game. The instructions were a little confusing for me, I think I would understand them better if they were explained in context, like a tutorial section at the start of the game. Well done on your submission!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback.

Art is really dope. All the elements worked pretty well together good job

Developer

Thanks.

Really nice art in this one. I think it could've used something distinguishing in the UI icons to help differentiate repair bots from attack bots; as others have said, it takes some getting used to. Good job!

Thanks for the feedback

Interesting mechanics here with the multiple buttons and the rows they affect in game, I think you may even have something sort of unique here, good job on it!

Developer

Thanks glad you liked my mechanics

I liked the whole set up of this game, the controls take a bit of getting used to but they fit the type of game.

The art was clean and simple and the music was nice sci-fi style synth.

One thing I couldn't figure out though is how your bots spawned at different locations, was this random, timed or based on buttons I was pressing?

Developer

Enemy bot spawn on random position and in timed manner, however the bot on your side are also spawn in random position but when you press your keys.

thanks for playing btw

I really like the visual style and the lore, which is reminiscent of retro sci fi movies. Gameplay is so enjoyable that I couldn't stop until I beat it on my third run. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, you liked it.

This is a fun and unique concept! The instructions helped get started understanding how to play, but it's definitely the kind of game that you have to keep playing to get an understanding of how to play. Nice job on your game!

Developer

Thanks, I am happy that you like the concept

Ha! The music you used in your title screen is the same music I used as the main track for my jam entry. There were a lot of instructions, and I'm still not sure exactly what everything does, but I managed to set off the plasma nuke and save the planet. I like the concept, but I feel like the instructions didn't really help much in explaining how everything worked. Still a good game entry for the jam. Thank you!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it. I just wanted to let people play and figure out what stuff do. when i released the game i didnt give any instruction excepts the controls but after getting some feedback i added "How To Play" Later. I still not included everything for example what is the cool down time, how much shield heal with each bot etc. It is a game jam people can not play a game longer so its understandable.  thanks for the feedback and spending your time on my game.

Nice game, though a little hard to first play. Nice job, though on the mechanics and art.

Developer

i am glad that you like the mechanics and art

Spend a few good minutes on figuring out how to play. I can proudly say, I still didnt figure it out. Anyways, it's a great game.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I think i need to update the game and add "How to Play" Section. please check how to play section  on itch page

I'll be totally honest I read the instructions several times and I'm still not sure if I was playing right haha. I do like games with odd mechanics, but it was genuinely hard to figure out what was going on even after reading the instructions. I do appreciate that it's something different though and I think with a little polish there could be something here.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. i did not add how to play inside the game but on itch page check How To Play section
