I like the idea of trying to get all the eggs, like it's Easter time :)

Is there any way to reload?
Also I felt like invincible? The bunnies kept on hitting me but it didn't seem to have any effect?
It really lacks of UI (remaining ammo, health bar...) and player feedback.

Anyway, good submission!

I like the concept, the story, and the mechanics, it's very well put together within the time constraints. Sadly the try again button doesn't work.

I like the idea of making so you need to target the bunnies instead of the metal drone but I think it should be more telegraphed as both particles are the same color, maybe red for the bunnies and keeping the gray for metal could do. The controls feel good.

I got the downloaded version to run fine. It was well put together, congrats on your jam submission. I did get pinned by the drones, which would mean eventual and inevitable death. It would be nice if there was a way to knock them back or dash out the way. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for your kind suggestion! That is a good idea, a dash, knock- back or maybe a blink/teleport ability.

Nice game but i just ran past all the bunnies because there wasn't enough ammo, but it was still fun!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing ! Yes, the drones are invincible you have to shoot the bunnies ~ But running past them is also an option

You should add a rotation system and a story. It's so annoying really mechanics are low for me Good game overall

Developer

Thank you for your feed-back and for playing ~
Rotation system: Do you mean like in Resident Evil, where you can instantly rotate 90 or even 180 degrees ? That is a really good idea, thank you for your suggestion!

Interesting concept! Evil bunnes! There is so much potential in that story! :D Not sure why but I felt as when I was playing Quake long long time ago! And thats great! Good job! :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for your kind comment ~ Yes, I was thinking a lot about Turok on the N64 when was making it. I don't which game came first but Quake and Turok have a similar feel IMO ^^ by the way, your game is really fun ~

Keep up the good work friend! I know you wanted to do so much more for this so don't get discouraged! Don't forget that whatever you see on here is only to help you improve! Also feel free to check out our game "Black Friday: the last stand"

The bunnies on the Godot Drones is adorable. Overall aesthetic is funny, with the rifle and bright green environment + drone bunnies. I like that you are taking the time to take GDTV courses and use what you've learned there in a jam. It is good practice.

Eggs? I love it already. Great job on getting something done in time for the jam, I am proud of you! Keep it up!

I think it's a pretty cool concept and the shooting is done well, but your play again button doesn't seem to reset the counter I somehow ended up with 13/5 eggs. Maybe you could make the drones a bit faster? I don't know if you've intended this but you can literally beat the game without shooting since you can out run the drones, but overall it's good :)

Developer

Thank you QZGames! Yes, there are a lot of issues ha ha . But I don't know if it is against the rules if I fix them, since they are not "game-breaking".

I didn't realize the egg counter issue, so thank you so much for mentioning that! Yes, I should reset the counter variable when replay is pressed!

Drones faster -> Good idea, thank you!

Winning without killing the drones -> yes, this is not what I intended. I initially also wanted to add "Drones eliminated" as part of the win condition, but time was running out.

Thank you for your kind comment and suggesting!

It's pretty clear what you based this on, but it works well, so good job! I really like the idea of having to shoot the bunnies off of invincible drones. Two things I noticed:

  • Your drone NavAgents are still displaying their paths to the player (debug)
  • When holding one weapon and picking up ammo for the other, the ammo counter will display ammo for the wrong weapon. I didn't check to see if firing would fix it because I just switched weapons each time, and that worked fine =)

Thank you for your kind comment!
NAvAgents -> Yes, I forgot to turn off debug before I released the executables. Not sure if I am allowed to fix it now since these are not "game-breaking".

Ammo counter -> This has been a real challenge, I am still not sure how I should fix it. Back to the drawing board, I go!

best regards ~

Cheers, and good call regarding the non-game-breaking bugs.

To fix the ammo counter display is actually not hard in theory, all you have to do is, once you've updated the internal ammo count, you update the actual label only if the ammo type you picked up is equal to the ammo type used by the weapon you're holding. In practice, I'm not sure exactly what you would need in your case since my own code is very different from the course. You may have to tweak exactly what's available in the WeaponManager, etc., but that's how you would go about it.

I think there could be something very funny/fun as an easter themed launch of "When Bunnies Attack" here. Overall I think this could be something cool. Keep at it ... After a respectable breather :) Thanks for submitting!
