Very interest game and mechanics. Unfortunately, I got stuck early because it seemed like my "crafting table" got bugged and I couldn't drop anything onto it? Or maybe I just misunderstood the basics of crafting. However, your tutorial seemed straightforward (and was most helpful!), so I'm no sure where I went wrong.
In any case, it's a great jam entry and shows a lot of creativity. It's a great example of what indie games should be about. Nice work!
Thanks for checking it out! :)
The crafting hammer is a bit different than one might expect: it needs to be animated, and it needs to have an ingredient in the tile corresponding with each of it's input indicators; if there are ingredients in both tiles, and they are able to combine to make a valid recipe, they will merge and the new item will come out in the tile corresponding with the output indicator.
Thanks for explaining, though I'm not sure I understand, yet. I will try again.
In the tutorial, it seemed like I put two leaves in the animating tile and they were consumed to produce paper. I think I just wasn't paying attention. Will give it another go!

Nice game, with some different mechanics than you often see, and complex ones too. I liked discovering new items at first, but I suppose I felt like a little more direction or maybe a clue what else might be possible would've have made the recipe searching more engaging as time went on. Overall, I enjoyed the vibe
Thanks for checking it out :) Makes me wonder what a fun design could be that involves magic and would help with finding recipes as you get further into the game
Wow, this was actually pretty cool. I did need to go past a lot of annoying trial and error to figure out what I have to do though. I love that you had a tutorial at the start at least, don’t know if I could get into it without. But yeah, some recipes are annoying, double so for the Speel Book unlocks. Seems like you have to go back and try out every combination to get it. I feel like you could’ve just unlocked it for the player to make it less confusing. Guessing can be fun at the start, but it’s not when you already went through everything and now have to do it agian. Other than that and some of the few bugs that you already are aware of, this is pretty crazy how much you managed to do in the time frame. Definitely deserves more vots. Good job!
I appreciate the feedback. A few people have mentioned that it was confusing 'Unlocking' the recipe, but not having it discovered, so I think that could be a nice QOL change. Thanks for checking it out!
Amazing lil' wizard game. I like the day/night cycle aspect of this survivor. 🧙♂️
I REALLY liked this game. All the mechanics are very well thought through and I am surprised that you could make this game in the short time that we had!
That is really nice to hear, I am glad that you enjoyed it!
